I am taking my two nephews to Disneyworld in Jan. They have been to disneyland but never disneworld. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and the thing they liked most about disneyland wasnt the rides but the pool at the resort.

So, I have had reservations at WL, BC, PC. PC is cheap which makes me smile. But I want them to smile too and now I am having second thoughts. When I went to disneyworld about 10 years back we stayed at BC and loved the pool but the rooms are so expensive.

What is everyones favorite pool at a disney resort and why??
Thanks for your help. I just want this to be truly special trip for them.

Well, having stayed at the DL hotel, I would say the BC pool would be the best bet.

Check out the thread Chip and Dale Express has on the PC resort he has pictures of the pool I believe.

I think the new PC will be cute!!!

Both Bc and WL have a DVC part - you can rent points from a DVC member save some money and still save in a very nice resort BCV and have the pool...

all DVC resorts - even the studio (I like studios but I am definitely in the minority) - have a mircowave and under-the-counter refrigerator - so you can save some money on meals and snacks.

I concur - renting DVC points is a GREAT way to stay deluxe without deluxe prices - we do it frequently & my DD loves to sleep on the pull-out couch bed. My DD loves the pool @ WL - it's not nearly as elaborate as SAB, but at WL, you get the EWP & water mouse rentals, plus a direct boat to FW for the campfire & movie, which is really fun & free! Also, if you rent points, your room id card says you are a DVC member, so you can pool hop (but not to SAB @ BC)-
we love to take the boat to CR & then hop the monorail to the Poly, so my DD can do the volcano slide - it's really fun. Mind you, we do this first thing in the morning while most are out in the parks so we don't use other pools during "prime swim time". CR has a plain, but big slide & BWV has a great slide, shaped like a wooden roller coaster ( my personal WDW fav), so you might try to rent points there - it's a great location! For moderates, CSR has the best slide IMHO & has an arcade at the pool area ( a plus w/ boys, I'd think) - hope this helps!:D

I would agree with trying to rent DVC points to stay at the beach club villas. We stayed in a 2 bedroomed villa for 2 weeks in the summer and loved it. Stormalong bay is great. Deffinately the best pool I saw in site IMHO.

The only thing that scares me about renting points is that I have read horror stories about people who got scammed.

I read about one lady who confirmed reservation. Then person whose points they were cancelled reservation that morning.

I would rather have a not so good pool and bed to stay in. It would be my worst nightmare if the person cancelled my ressie.
I would have panic attacks on the plane that i would be able to check in when I got there.

I'm the odd duck that doesn't find the appeal of SBA that everyone else does. My favorite is the Poly Volcano pool! Yahoo!
