Does any one know which resorts do the photo pass shoots now? I know that initially it was the Grand Floridian, and then they added the Poly. Have any other resorts been added to it?

Thanks! :goodvibes

Currently - I know they are doing the photo shoots at the Grand Floridian, Poly, Beach Club, Saratoga Springs and Wilderness Lodge. I'm not sure if they have added any additional locations.

They just added Animal Kingdom Lodge a few weeks ago. :thumbsup2

Call 407-934-4004.

If you pre-order the PhotoPass CD online ($99.99) or purchase it in the parks ($124.99), the cost of the portrait session is $74.95 with proof of purchase.
Otherwise, the cost is $149.95.

For another $49.95 you can combine the images from the portrait session with the Photopass images you’ve taken inside the parks. However, once they are combined you will not be able to enhance any of them.

Holy Schnikes!!!! We just got preordered our cd in aug for $99. Our session was only $24.95 at the Poly. Also you could combine the photopasses for nothing and still enhance them. When did it go up? That price is ridick! Our session was hardly worth the $24.95 we paid.

Thank you everybody for the information! I'll have to weigh the pro's and con's on that one...I find it amazing that after they found how popular it became, that it went up 75%....in just a matter of a few months!

I'm still on the fence...I've seen some of the photos, and they are definitely not professional quality, but it would beat having to set up a tripod to get your own pictures, or asking a passer-by to take a shot of you!

 A nice teenager offered to take a pic of me and DF in front of Planet Hollywood last summer. I'm ashamed to say I had imbided a little too much, and I kept on asking her while she was taking our pictures, "You're not going to run away with my camera are you?"

The offer is still open for me to sneak around Margaritaville and take pictures of you and Gregg lol! :lmao:

I had it done in August before the session price went up we had about 80+ photo's taken and only about 10 came out so we got some really good pictures the only downside was that it was overcast weather. Im not sure if I would pay the $70 price tag though.

We had it done in May and all we had to do was buy the photopass cd for $124.95 and we were able to combine both photopass pics and the photoshoot pics onto one cd for no extra charges and we were able to add onto the cd because it was in the middle of the week and we were not done taking photopass pics. the prices went up like 2 to 3 months ago.

When we stay at AKV I want to get a session done there. I saw them doing it when we went and checked out the resort..it is gorgeous there.

Thank you so much for the offer MegKate, and I just may take you up on it! It'd be kind of cool :cool2: to have our own Paparazzi, and I'd really like a few pics of the actual ceremony. I know you'll have a ka-zillion & 1 things of your own you need to do for your own planning though!

I actually got Root Photography for a "Just Married" shoot, the day after our ceremony. I'm really excited about it. They are going to take photos of us around Citywalk and Margaritaville, and possilby sneek some at the Portofino Bay Resort. PBR are being Nazi's about only professional photos can be done by "their" preferred photographers....and that's without wedding attire on! :confused3

I read in one of your posts about airfare from Manchester, NH, to Orlando. Are you flying from Manchester in May? I'm just curious because DS-18 lives in Exeter, NH, and will be flying from Manchester on the 15th of May! You guys might be on the same flight! :rotfl:

If you need a Paparazzi, I'm more than willing to help out - honestly!

I'm really excited about you getting the Roots - I think they are just awesome! :goodvibes Grr about PBR. Just sneak around - just go incognito :)

BTW - I'm going out either the 13th or 14th - too bad!!

I was definitely very interested in booking a resort photo session during our honeymoon and wanted to tack it on to our photopass. I had no idea the prices had gone up! Does anyone have some pics of their shoot to share? Is it worth the new higher price?

We did this in May for the $25.00 price and it was great. We prepurchased the CD, got pictures taken in the park and had a GF shoot. As we were the last shoot of the day (and we told the photographer it was for our engagement) she spent alot of time with us. We had her for close to one hour.

I really wanted to do this when we went back for our wedding and honeymoon but I don't think I want to pay that much for photos. I will definately prepurchased the CD - and maybe the photobook also - and decide on the resort shoot while we are down there. I figured we could call and see if they have any availability if we decide to do this. If they have no openings I will not be upset because of the new higher price.

From what I heard, it's a "Crap Shoot", as to whether it's worth it or not....especially with the new prices. For the amount of money they are charging now, you expect some kind of quality....where when you were spending only $25, you pretty much were happy with what you could get! You can go under the Resorts thread, and then there's a sub-thread titled Resort Photos, and I believe there is a sticky with some of the Photo Pass resort photos. That might help you decide.

Thanks Meg! Let's see how your schedule looks when it gets closer to the date! You don't know how much the offer means to me!

We did several of the resort shoots during our honeymoon in september. We did the WL shoot in our wedding attire. I am currently doing a photo trip report on the passporter site including some photos from all of the sessions. We did WL, Poly, Beach Club, and AKL. We were scheduled to do GF but DH got sick so we had to cancel. I would pay the extra for the WL, and Poly shoot. The others shoot I would pay only if they do some editing. The new price is suppose to include editing that the photographers and you do at the photo station before he make the cd. I love the majority of my picture a few new to be brighter and others are just ok. The AKL shoot should be done with bright clothing because it is so dark in the inside of the lodge. All of our photographers spent way more than the thirty minutes with us. The beach club guy spent over an hour with us. I think it depends on how busy they are, if they are slow they will spend more time with you and you get better pictures. We eve got a picture with animals in the background at AKL. They just not taht close so the look like sticks.
