First of all, I know this is OT for this area but I need advice from women I trust who can match colors and are familiar with WDW. Who better than my scrappy friends?

DH and I are booked for a Resort Photo Session at WL on Dec. 10. We decided on wearing royal blue polo shirts and jeans for our photos - DH in an actual polo and me wearing a royal blue polo babydoll that is TOO CUTE!

The shirt that I wanted was not available in royal blue so we changed to sky blue. The shirt was supposed to ship last Friday but is now on backorder so won't be available before we leave.

Our options are:
1) We can wear two different styles of shirt in royal blue (but I'm afraid that won't look good in the picture.)
or
2) We can wear a different color altogether.

We can do another color but we are kind of limited on that due to my hair and DH's complexion. For example:
I look great in Red but DH is ruddy-complected so it won't work for him.
Green is out because the landscape at the Lodge is so green. Ditto for brown.
We both look scary in white.
I thought about maroon because that works for both of us for some reason but the CM who took our ressie thought that might be too dark.
I like lavendar but DH is completely opposed.
Yellow makes me look sallow and DH doesn't really care for it.

Do y'all have any suggestions on colors that might look good with the surroundings at the Lodge? Most of the photo locations are outdoors.

Would navy shirts with dark jeans look weird? Is navy too dark for the WL?
This is the shirt I like in Navy.

TIA in advance for any help. These are anniversary photos for us so I would really like them to look nice.

I think the maroon would work since it's just as dark as the navy. I would prefer the maroon, just because it's more christmasy and all the decorations will be up. And as long as the pics are taken during the day, it's not really going to matter as long a the CM knows what they are doing when it comes to exposure and such. The colors of the outside will not be 1 color like a curtain backdrop in the studio. I would go with maroon.

And navy or maroon would both be fine with dark jeans.

What about tan? That would look nice too with all the green & Christmasy colors.

Apparently, the "maroon" is raspberry so more pink than red so I don't think that would work for him since his complexion is so red.

And unfortunately, these aren't really "professional" photographers so they won't necessarily know what they are doing with exposure and such. Most of the pics will be outside so the Christmas decor won't be obvious.

So you think Navy would look OK with dark jeans?

I checked and they apparently don't come in tan. I hadn't even thought of that but you are right that it would look good.

Do you think a light aqua would look weird for DH?

can you post a link to the store?

Good news! I think I found one in royal blue that will work. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy a navy just in case the royal blue is not a good color.

Thanks for the input. I just want ONE GOOD PHOTO out of this session and it will be completely worth it. I've tried talking to Roger about shirt colors and his eyes glaze over. I figured I needed girl help!

I want that shirt... where did you find it... I'm trying not to burn dinner so I didn't read thoroughly!

IF the aqua is more green than blue, it should work okay for a guy.

But I think the royal blue would be better if you can't get the navy to work.

http://www.womanwithin.com/clothing...7&DeptId=11134&ProductTypeId=1&PurchaseType=0

It's a site called Woman Within. It sells primarily plus sizes but this shirt is available in a 14-16. I buy a lot of my "play clothes" there because the casual stuff is pretty inexpensive and I don't feel bad when it gets ruined.

I like the shirt too. THe woman in that photo is so NOT a size 14-16. I hate when they do that. I am size 14-16 and I would love to look like that!
