That's really expensive for a cake have you checked out the cake thread on the food board you could get a decent one for a third of the price!

I have not done the photo session but have seen the results and it looks fab!

Ha, Tracy, you must be spying on me. I have spent this afternoon on a thread getting the info. If you go onto StitchKingdom and go into their Photopass Guide, the resort photo session info is about halfway down the rather lengthy document, but they pretty much cover every detail and the site is kept up to date.

Now I am trying to decide which resort would be best. I though Eeyorefan might want to look at this too as she is going with the whole family and it's a really nice keepsake. I came so close to doing it last year, but I didn't feel I knew enough about it at the time.

Wait, if you haven't already booked it. I was just advised to beware of early morning sessions because the glare of the sun causes the subjects to squint and poses challenges to the photographers with shadows. I also think the Poly would suit us, although WL would be nice too. I can't book it until 30 days out though.

do you know what time the last booking is? we could do it before our dinner at ohanas..:woohoo:

It say this on the site:

Available times are seasonal, starting daily at 8 am until 7 pm or sunset, whichever comes first. Call 407-824-1700 to make reservations up to 30 days in advance or for additional information.

Sunset won't come before 7 pm when you are going so it would be 7 pm then. What time is your reservation? I would leave at least an hour and a bit to give you ample time so you aren't rushed. If you can find out what time sunset is you could even try for just before that - should get some nice pics  especially since you are celebrating your anniversary this trip.

Hiya
This is something we would be really interested in, i have pre purchased the photo pass already, is this something you could add to that or would you have to pay the extra $49.95?

Would do it either way i think, but would be a bonus if i could add it to my photopass
Thanks
Ali

Hi Ali

It is completely separate to the PhotoPass used in the parks (i.e. any products or anything to do with the PhotoPass card you swipe away in the parks). It is a PhotoPass product but it is not linked. You don't get a card for this one.

The $49 session gives you one of the sets of prints (you get to choose which ones you want so they can all be different pics) and the $99 one gives you the same, plus the CD with all the images. You book the session through PhotoPass but you can't do it as an add on to your account, the one you prepaid. Not sure if this answers your question.

We never did the package that you guys are talking about but when we went to WL for our anniversary at WCC there was a photopass photographer set up near the little bridge next to the gift shop. We got loads a really good shots of us as a family, and group shots of all 8 of us.
She spent at least 30 minutes just posing us and making sure we got some pics that we otherwise wouldn't have got. These were also all put on our standard photopass so we got to add borders etc. to them as well.
Like I said we never pre-arranged anything so it was more luck than judgement that we got the chance, but it's worth keeping an eye out whilst in any of the resorts just in case there is a photographer lurking nearby.

Thanks for the tip. You weren't wearing anniversary buttons by any chance were you? ;)

I am actually quite happy to pay for this. I have said before (I am slightly ashamed of this since DD has noticed) that we don't really have many pictures of the 2 of us together. I thought a lovely session of not too Disney style pics would be wonderful. It's something that is missing from our home. ;)

I can't find anything on the official website though. Only reason I hoped they had it there was because I wouldn't mind a sneaky preview.

heres some of ours, from the poly.we had them took at 10.30,so the grandkids, were nice & refreshed.

:thumbsup2 Make sure you throw in a nice shirt and trousers for him so he can feel good when you spring the surprise. (Just in case he does his own packing and wouldn't put in a nice-ish outfit otherwise). I hope that comes across nicely. :goodvibes

You pay for it there I assume, as they say there is no obligation to buy. :confused3

DH do the packing :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

I was thinking of packing his 80's flourescent shirt and shorts that I made him, the sad thing is its still lurking at the back of his wardrobe!!!!

I was asked which package I wanted and a contact number for us out there, but you pay on arrival.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Did you take the full package or the $49 one? I can't book mine yet, but I suppose I could still phone and get any necessary info in the meantime.
