I am heading down soon and staying offsite. My question is this: I am planning Monday to go to MK for the day and then eat at 1900 Park Fare. What is my best bet for parking? Can I stay in the lot and take the monorail to the Grand Floridian? What time does the monorail system stop running? Wow, alot of little questions.

Thanks all!

I would think you would be able to park at the MK and then when it's time for your dinner take the monorail to the GF. I think the monorail service normally runs about an hour after the park closes. I suppose it would really depend on the date you are going and your dinner time.

I don't think you'll have any problem using the monorail for your transportation. It continues to run an hour or two after park closing.

My PS at 1900PF is at 7:50pm. I wanted to make it late enough so that we could stay and see SpectroMagic and maybe some of Wishes at MK. Would it be best to drive to GF and park there? Is there a charge for parking at the resorts if you are dining there?

Cheers!

Nope, no charge for parking if you have a PS. If you're not planning to return to the MK that evening, this would probably be your best bet.

There is no charge at the resorts for parking, unless you choose to valet park. At GF, valet parking is a good walk away from the resort (on the other side of the road running in front of the resort). Valet parking is $6.

Also if you are not a guest at the resort, self-parking is limited to 3 hours. Valet parking is unlimited as far as how long you stay. That's something to keep in mind if you are planning to stay for awhile.

Not to be a nay sayer here, but, you will see a sign that states that the parking lots are for guests staying at the hotel/resort, not for parking to go to the parks. They do check to see when your ps is and will probably not allow you to enter much before then.
Best bet, park in the TTC lot and take the monorail or boat to MK then take the monorail to the GF then take the monorail back to the TTC after dinner.

Gail, I think you misunderstood the OP. They said they'd be parking in the MK lot, then taking the monorail to GF. Other suggestions were based on driving to GF after leaving MK, not parking at GF in the morning and leaving the car there all day. At least that was not my assumption.
