Resort Parking Fee

Not entirely sure this post belongs on budget board but it's money related- what's the latest news on fees billed to resort guests? I know there were so many variables on consistency of billing, etc.

Any recent experience? We do online check in so we bypass the desk when we go to our room. How will this car charge appear on my bill? How will they know I've parked my car?

So if you’re not parking that car that brings you in I suppose you just have to take it up with the front desk then. I am sure they miss a lot of guests too. We always just scan at the gate and go. We never talk to the guard or the front desk.

If you arrive by taxi, there is no parking fee. Not sure what you are asking.

I doubt they miss anyone. They've charged for parking on the West Coast at their hotels for years successfully so it's not like they're new to this. We're always asked by the front desk in CA if we're parking a car, sometimes we are and sometimes we aren't and either way we've never had issues. I was recently talking to a CM as a friend joined me for just one night so I needed one night of parking and she made sure I was only charged for one night and then said something about the system will see when she scans her room key to exit the premises, so maybe exiting is how the system catches cheaters? Does WDW have you scan a MB on exit?

There is a thread about this on the resorts section. I will try to find it and bump it. The older reports showed spotty charges.
Remember---a reservation made before the March deadline gets free resort parking.

We are driving but we have friends that are ubering from MCO. they’ll just need to hit the front desk and make sure they’re not charged.
