ok...i've been reading on other threads about parking at a resort that you aren't staying at. maybe someone can give me some advice!!

we are staying at the ASMu and one morning that we are there, we have PS for chef mickey's for breakfast. we had originally planned to drive over there and park. we thought would just be the easiest thing to do! i don't want to upset anyone!! if we take the resort transportation (bus), how early would we need to catch the bus to get over to the TTC? our PS is for 8am i believe and the MK opens at 9am...

i would appreciate and welcome any advice as this is our first time staying onsite!!!

On our last trip in late April, we drove to BC for a PS seating at Cape May Cafe (breakfast with Goofy). We told the guard we were going for breakfast and he let us proceed no problem. No pass, no time limit. It was VERY simple. I guess as long as it isn't a really busy time for the resort, they probably don't hassle you regarding parking.

Disney has been running a special bus for those with early PS arrangements for breakfast. Ask about times/schedule when you check in, or at your resort's Guest Services Desk. I've read that the bus will drop you off right at the CR. No need to drive.

Parking at the CR for anyone not actually staying at the resort is not recommended. You will most likely get a 3 hour "parking permit" and to be absolutely sure your car will not be towed, you'll have to move the car to the TTC after breakfast.

If you do have to drive, I'd recommend that yo park at the TTC and then take the resort monorail over to the Contemporary. Be sure to check times with your resort's Guest Services to verify that the resort monorail will be running that early (FWIW, I'm quite certain it will). After breakfast, you can either take the monorail to the MK or you can walk to the MK (5 - 10 minutes, probably much faster than the monorail, which will stop at the TTC, Poly and GF before arriving at the MK). From there, you can take the bus back to your resort or spend some time at the MK.

IMHO, the best option for you is the special, early morning character breakfast bus.

Enjoy your very first time on site!

Hi scarlett873,

We usually drive to our CB/CD piority seatings. We will be having a CB at 1900 Park Fare and a CD at Chef Mickey's during our upcoming trip which is in 10days. We just tell the guard that we are having breakfast or dinner at the resort and then we proceed to valet parking. There is a $6 per day fee plus tip for valet parking. As someone noted in another post there is a "breakfast bus" that runs but you will need to check at your resort when you check in for the times. Hope you have a great trip.

Even though we have not used it ourselves based on some other posts I have read yes the S/D does participate. Maybe the transportation board will have more information?

Is Epcot included in the special breakfast bus route now that the princess breakfast is being held?

Thanks

Just returned from WDW and had no problems parking at the other resorts. We placed our parking permit from the GF right on the dashboard of the car and were waved through at most places. We did get stopped at the entrance to AKL, but we told the guard we had dinner reservations at Jiko's. We took advantage of valet parking at the GF, $6 per day, and that allowed us to use valet at any other resort. We only paid a tip.
