Resort Parking after ADR

We are considering a 1-day Disney trip after our vacation in the Keys. Our plan would be a long MK day, and I'm trying to figure out ADR's. We've never traveled at a truly busy time, and I've found that the guards at the Contemporary lot have been great about letting us leave the car and walk over to the MK after a dinner ADR. I'm considering booking a 7:30-ish dinner at The Wave and driving over, leaving the car after dinner, walking over to MK for Wishes, then walking back and driving back to POR. Will this be allowed, or will they kick us out (or two the car!) if we are still there at 10 pm?

There has been more intense enforcement of parking recently, so it is hard to predict. Officially, you get a3 hour window for an ADR. After that, you are supposed to move to TTC or pay valet.

It's like city parking in the real world. Many restaurants and shops will validate parking, but not for an indefinite period. And at the Contemporary, they have to prioritize those paying for rooms over those dining for spots. If they have resort guests who cannot park, they may start towing.

I'd be more than happy to pay for valet to give ourselves as much time as we want at MK after Wishes. Thanks for the suggestion. Since we've never been at Spring Break I'm not sure what kind of wait times there are for the monorail and ferry after Wishes. Given how long we've waiting on a 6/10 day, I'm assuming an 9/10 day might be truly insane.

Just realize, there are people who pay to stay at that resort that you are taking a parking place from. How would you feel if you got to your resort and couldn't park your car because people who were NOT staying at that resort took the spaces?
It's really frowned on to do it.
If you insist, pay the Valet. That is perfectly acceptable.

Depends really. Since the park is probably open after Wishes it's not all that bad. Sure some leave but plan to stay around about an hour after and you'll find it easy.

Sometimes they don't let non-resort guests even valet park at the Contemporary. We were there for breakfast one morning at the Wave and were waiting to drive in. They had another Security guy standing by the automatic gate (that opens with your room card) letting guests in to the resort. I heard the other guard tell a guest at the other side (by the shack) be told there wasn't any valet parking for non-resort guests. You had to have an ADR for dining or a resort reservation to get your car into the lot.
