I enjoy hearing everyone's opinions and I'm learning so much. What are your favorite resorts? Looking for opinions on resorts, value, moderate and deluxe.

Of the moderates Ive stayed at Caribbean Beach and Coronado
Coronado has less bus stops (which is nice when its late and you cannot wait to get in bed)
The walk was much shorter to the food court/ lobby but it wasn't tragic for both. Also will depend where your room is.
The lobby and food court are in the same area unlike caribbean which I preferred. If something is wrong with your magic band or something, you're already in that area for breakfast. You'd have to make a special trip at caribbean.

I liked the fact caribbean had a table vs a desk. Only one person could sit at the desk at coronado to eat breakfast vs 2 at caribbean
It has 2 sinks which is nice when everyone is trying to get ready for the parks/ bed at the same time.

We only ate breakfast at both and always get pancakes or waffles so I can't compare food.

Of the values I've stayed at All Star Music, Sports and Pop
I personally don't see a difference between the 3, but Sports was probably my least favorite. I'm staying there again my next trip though because it came out to be the cheapest and we only use the room to sleep anyway.

Haven't stayed in a deluxe yet

Thanks. I agree, sometimes you are not in your room enough to bother paying more. My daughter and I have a girls' trip and we are staying at Pop Century so we can have more nights. I see people putting down the value resorts. We've stayed at AoA and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I've stayed at most of the resorts (AofA, Treehouses are the exception).

Favorite Value: Pop...I just have so many great memories there of my DD when she was little, love the kitchy theming, it's just fun and festive (to me).

Favorite Moderate-POFQ, a cleaner version of my neighbor 3 hours west :) It's small (ish), intimate, and I love the theme, like I said similar to NOLA without the smells, crowds, etc. You can even get beignets!

Favorite Value-this one is hard...WL or YC. I love the theming of WL and have been lucky enough to have a view of the MK fireworks a few times. I like boats so the shuttles to MK are fun (for me). My favorite restaurant in the world is there (Artist Point). Yacht Club has proximity to HS, EPCOT, is quieter (to me) than BWI or BC and it's lovely.

I've also stayed in some of the DVC properties and of those, OKW is fun, Florida-y and loved having a washer and dryer when I was there for a RunDisney event.

I've only stayed at Pop for night before my resort res if I've a late arrival or decide to add a day at last moment. It would be my value of choice.

POR Riverside is our fav moderate. It has extra to offer with boat to Disney Springs, evening entertainment in the lounge, and carriage rides. And a great food court. POFQ Would come in 2nd because it doesn't have quiet pools and food court isn't as good. It does have Begniets though!!

Deluxe is harder, I really like all I've stayed in for different reasons. But if I had to pick one, it would be GF.

Have stayed at almost every resort on property over the years. Own DVC now so only stay DVC, only stayed at values a couple of times and didn't really like them. The beds were very small and uncomfortable. As for the mods my favorite is the POR, love the atmosphere and the food court and the boat to Disney Springs. As for the Deluxes my favorite is the GF, BC, BWI,CR, WL , Poly and AKL in that order. Have never stayed in the YC. DVC villas are the same.

We could be neighbors, we are 3.5 hrs away from NO:)

OP:
Value = ASMO edges out POP because our DDs love the icons better then at POP, that are more geared towards mom and dad's era:)

Mod = POFQ Just a fantastic resort. Truthfully we like all the Mods, they are our "go to" resorts, gives us more amenities then value and does not break the bank like deluxes.

Deluxes - GF Elegant, great restaurants and stores, seeing the castle from the resort etc.

Least fav..... Don't kill me :duck:the Poly. Not sure if my expectations were too high but we enjoyed our trip just would stay there again.

Our fav was YC, loved loved loved everything about it. The area, being close to 2 parks. We felt that even after we left the parks there was so much to do with the boardwalk so close.

In order from fav to least fav.... YC, AKL. POR,POLY
