I live in NW NJ and there is a tv adv running for the fall rates for WDW resorts. They show a young brother and sister getting ready and going into their parent's room (obviously connecting rooms) and they (the parents) are sitting on the bed all ready to go waiting for the kids to get up (very cute!). My question is-what resort is this? The (what looks like) headboards have large cartoon-type paintings of characters and the room looks huge! They show the Mickey lamps that are like the ones in the GF. We've stayed at the GF and our rooms did not have these characters in them. Unless they've re-done some resort (we've stayed at all except BW and VC's), we can't figure it out. Anyone know? It's driving me nuts! They are showing the value resorts and adv. how you can stay for as little as $55/nite, however, I know the value resort rooms do not look like these!

Help!!??

I have seen the commercial too, to me it looks like they are at home waking up early and trying to get ready to go to WDW, and the parents are already packed and waiting when they open the door

. I think it's supposed to show their own home before they go to WDW, I might be wrong though..anybody else??

I saw that commercial too and am trying to figure out which resort they are staying at. UGH!

I don't think they are at home .... getting ready to go to WDW.

If you look quickly the kids room has a balcony and a view of Cindy's Castle. That means the resort could only be GF, Poly or CR -- but it's not one of those resorts. Plus they are advertising for value resorts.....hmmmm.....

I dont see any cartoon stuff on the headboard at the POP.
plus the rooms are fairly small and you cannot see the castle?

As I tell my kids when they see commercials for toys on t.v. ..."don't believe everything you see!" In my opinion, same holds true for the WDW commercial. They are advertising a value resort but using the magic of t.v. to make it appear something it is not. Imagine never having been to a value before and the commercial makes you book a trip....how dissapointing. No castle view, no large room, no characters on the headboard, no mickey lamp! Buyers beware!!! JMO:earsboy:

I saw this commercial yesterday. I believe that is suppose to be their home. It is definitely NOT Pop Century. The commercial is rather misleading if you ask me. It could be a Disney hotel in Paris/Tokyo/California.... but not WDW.

I just saw this comercial last night and said WHAT resort was that to DH. It does show a georgous view of the castle form the window so I don't think they are at home-they are at WDW already. It looked like the Contemporary or Poly (big room) with new headboards!

We have tivo so I went back and looked at it several times. I can tell you with great certainty that this was filmed in a room at the contemporary. They had changed some things like the characters behind the bed, a stream of pixie dust around the room, and the lamp (clearly from the GF).

The idea of the commercial was to focus on early entry -- so I believe that the premise of the commercial takes place at a WDW resort and not the families home.

The room is decorated that way to create excitement. I dont believe this decor actually exists on property.

JMHO

Thanks everyone for your responses! I'll say it created excitement! I've e-mailed WDW to ask them what resort it is. I'm curious what their response will be!

Could it be the disneyland hotel in paris? I could be wrong, but they ran those ads over here in Europe last year, and they could have been advertising disneyland paris (not sure about that).

The hotel looks very much like the GF in decor, but the headboards are painted as are the tv cabinets....here's a description I found online
The spacious rooms are decorated in pastel shades to compliment the hotels decor with tiny Disney features though out such as a carved Tinker Belle on the wardrobe.

Here are some photos- you can't see the painting on the headboards, but you get the idea.

I saw a commercial for a special rates for value resorts which looked like that. I did not like the part where they said that it includes Disney transportation and shows the monorail. It's a little misleading. Sure you can ride the monorail from the TTC, but you must take buses from the value resorts.

I thought this commercial was really cute but a little misleading. I know it's not the Poly or Pop, we were just there last month. I'm pretty sure during the commercial the fine print at the bottom says that 2 rooms are shown. That's why it seems like such a big room. I wonder if they're actual rooms or specially decorated for the commercial.

Thanks everyone for your responses! I'll say it created excitement! I've e-mailed WDW to ask them what resort it is. I'm curious what their response will be!
Please share with us when/if you get a response from Disney. I am so curious!

they have been showing this commercial in Europe, and people thought it was Disneyland Paris, as there is a hotel there with a close up view of the castle - but again it would have to be 2 connecting rooms and the decor is different.

I recvd the following reply from WDW

"Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

As you may be aware, the Walt Disney World® Resort periodically offers special resort programs as a
courtesy to our guests. However, in view of the number of specials that may be in effect at any

arrangements. Please note that the name of the specific program is required in order to access the

I think they are talking about codes (programs). I've e-mailed them back clarifying that I only want to know what hotel is on the commercial, which is what I asked the first time. I'm sure I'm not going to get an answer, because I frankly don't think the "room" exists, not in WDW anyway. I have a friend who works in Disney management and I'll e-mail him. I'm just waiting for all the hurricanes to settle down. I'm not even sure how he fared this last one!

i kinda thought that they were at home. you know like all the disney stuff on their room, then they open the parents door , like connecting rooms, and they are waiting. just our opinion.

IMO I think they made this room{s} up and that it's just a set. Which to me is very misleading.

For people who haven't been to WDW or don't know about the DIS {are there people out there like that? LOL!!!} they just might think if they book a trip to WDW they are going to get a room like that, having a gorgous view of Cinderlla Castle.

If I didn't know any better, they sure would have gotten me. I would LOVE to have a view of Cinderella Castle from my room. Just the thought of laying in bed at night and seeing the castle light up would make me call.
