what's the deal with these? How much are they? they are refillable just at your resort, correct? But....can you fill them and take them into parks? how big are they (ounces?)?

thank you!

These are about 8 oz I'd guess.. pretty small overall..

The mugs go for about 12.49$ currently. They are refillable just at your resort.

You can fill them and take them with you.. but you'll likely run dry on the buses long before you ever get to the parks - seriously they don't hold much at one time.

They are not refillable for free in the parks. You can buy beverages and pour them into the mug however. Lots of people do that.

I've moved this thread over to the Resorts board.

Thanks,

Knox

Just to add a little extra info, one of Resorts that is not selling the YOAMD mugs which are being sold right now is the Contemporary because the Food & Fun Center is closed and their new counter service location does not open up until August 14, 2008. Also their temporary location does not have the equipment for a soda machine, so because of that they are not selling the mugs there. The other Resort not to sell them is Corondado Springs because their dinning locations are not owned by Walt Disney World, so they are the only Resort to sell the mugs with their Resort logo on them.

I was told that with the new YOAMD mugs, you can now take them to all the resorts that sell them for refills now.

Sorry that people give some wrong answers. The mug we purchased at the BC during our xmas stay held 16oz. the price was 11.99 plus tax which equals $12.49.You can only refill it at the resort it was purchased at.But believe me it will pay for itself the first day.If I fill it once I filled it a thousand times. We only purchased one and shared no need for more with my family(little ones).Disney charges $2.29 for a drink and $2.50 for bottled water(another subject)but if you buy 6 drinks which is very easy you would have paid for the refillable mug.We always buy the mugs. Its a big savings.Try it and you won't believe it.Keep track of how many times you fill it and at the end multiply that number by $2.29 and you will be amazed. For the water, buy it at one of the Hess gas stations...sometimes 2 for 1 or go to Public's and buy a case. Its $.20 verses $2.50.Thats where Disney gets you.Its the food and drinks.Have fun....:upsidedow

Since most of the Resorts are selling the same YOAMD mugs, it's not that hard to fill them up at other Resorts, since they all have the same design. So unless someone is using the ones which say 2007 on them, the Cast Members can not tell the difference with the new mugs since they are now being sold without the year printed them. Anyway if guests wanted to use the new version of the YOAMD mugs at other Resorts they could do that without any problems during their vacation at WDW.

Are you encouraging people to break Disney's rules?

No I am not. The rules on the YOAMD mugs say "Free refills available at our Resort Beverage Islands until the end of the stay in which the mug was purchased." On the old Resort logo mugs the rule was "Free refills until the end of your stay. Refills only at the location purchased." So as you can see with the YOAMD mugs it does not say only good where you purchased it and I believe when they say our Resort Beverage Islands, they mean all the Resort counter service locations. Plus it's also good for guests who do split stays, because they don't need to purchase the same mug again at their new Resort.

Please reread your bold print and reconsider its meaning and your interpretation. The message and rule is the same. I'm hoping you just read it fast or not completely to see that.
