Resort Mugs

I also find the rationalizations tiresome and troubling. Woudln't it be best to not encourage any discussion of this sort of conduct?

The people on the other message board are correct. You need to buy new ones. It is not a waste of money, you need to compare the number of drinks you would buy with the cost of the mug. When your cost for drinks exceeds the mug, buy the mug and you save money.

Eventhough were not supost to we have never had a CM stop us. In fact a CM at the Grand Floridian asked us where & when did we get our Contemporary mugs because she had never seen them before.

Umm, I'm thinking that was a CM's polite way of indicating that you were using the wrong mug. They're not going to tackle you and make a scene, but the fact that the CM mentioned it didn't mean they thought "'oooh, neat, a mug!". It meant "hey, that mug doesn't belong here".

But I'm guessing your going to do what you want, anyway. My big question is, why do people come to this board, KNOWING that they shouldn't reuse the mugs, STATING that they know they shouldn't resue the mugs, and yet wanting validation for resuing the dang mugs? You shouldn't, it's wrong, and why are we still going around about this?

Oh, yeah - I'm part of the problem, by answering the OP. But didn't cha ever once wish that you could actually look a poster in the eye, and tell them what a jerk they were? I mean, in real life? The anonymity of the boards gives the OP the luxury of being purposefully, willfully wrong, with no repurcussions. I mean, who in their real life is going to say 'I'm going to flout a rule and steal from Disney - whadda ya think?'.

You can always find someone to say 'go ahead, break the rules'. But I'm not going to validate your choices - I think you're a cheap jerk. In my humble, and oh, so anonymous opinion, of course.

opps deleted when i didn't mean to but ...
ask a question and they will come... really you've been on these boards about as long as me and still you wonder? ;)
i think people ask cause sometimes they don't know ( ok maybe 2%) sometimes they like to start something ( 52%, have to admit i might be in that bunch at times) and the rest just because it's there :rotfl: it's a moot point since it's Printed right on the mug but it's still a hot topic...sorry it cracks me up that so many love to fight about Disney World :rotfl2: :rotfl2: personally i miss the old canned corn, pool hopping ,bread bags for refillable mugs threads, sigh, people were so much less crabby then

The reason they came to the board was to stir things up. I love how in the first post they "forgot" to mention using the mug at another resort so they had to add another post to ask about that in addition to reusing the old mug.

Somebody's bored today.
