I'll be attending MNSSHP this October, but won't be arriving to the park until 4PM. Since our group stays offsite I thought it might be fun to tour the resorts during the day before the party. Initially I was thinking we could eat lunch at 1900 Park Fare, but it's come to my attention that it only serves breakfast and dinner. We may still try to do the breakfast, but what would y'all suggest for lunch among the Disney resort dining options? Thanks!

i would try to get a reservation @ ohana @ the polynesian and then just jump on the monorail to the party!! the wave @ the contemporary is really good and chef mickey. my favorite restaurants are at the resorts. i love the halloween party, i can't wait to go. be sure and pack extra bags in your backpacks for all those treats!!

Just an FYI, when I asked about parking at a resort for breakfast and taking the monorail to the park, I was told that I could not park there that long. And I am staying onsite, just not at that resort.

I would never dream of parking at a resort if I wasn't staying on property. I figured we'd park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot during the day and just take the monorail around to the different resorts until it was time for the party.

the Grand Floridian Cafe is wonderful for lunch ! You can get a HUGE burger w/ lobster and asparagus on it ! (seriously, it's amazing...) they do have alot of other great things, I just don't remember what they are because "they had me at lobster on your burger". ( you can pull the menu on Allears.net)

That being said....you could also eat at Kona Cafe at the Poly...it's really very good too.

You could also take a boat from the MK over to the Wilderness Lodge and eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. That's one of our favorite restaurtants. Then again, WL is our favorite hotel as well!

I second the Grand Floridian Café. I think they do one of the best lunches on Disney property.

Even though it's a counter service location I would highly recommend going to the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary.

I 2nd the Kona Cafe suggestion. Great Chicken Noodle soup for starters. or trails end.

kona is wonderful for lunch. Also- what about the Wave? Never been for lunch (i think they serve) but dinner was great.

For something low key GF Cafe or another great lunch location Kona's

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I had no ideas before and now I've got a solid two or three choices for the group to decide on.

Just an FYI neither Ohana or Chef Mickey serve lunch and they will give you a treat bag when you enter MNSSHP

How about afternoon tea at the GF? It opens at 2 so it would be a late lunch, but I always enjoy it! In fact I'm going to be going again on our upcoming trip.

Not sure if Kona does lunch, good place to go if it does!!!
