Resort like Bonnet Creek?

Decided a it last minute to head to Florida over spring break. We won't actually be doing the Disney parks this trip...but will still be doing things in the area and going to Sea World as well.

Because we waited late, there's no availability for our week at Bonnet Creek. Any suggestions for a similar resort? Our kids are far apart in age so we really enjoy the variety of pools and activities Bonnet Creek has to offer. So looking for something along those lines.

TIA! :)

Did you look on ebay for availability? Many of the popular weeks are booked in advance and sold on there.

The Marriott resorts around Sea World, such as Harbour Lake, Cypress Harbor and Grande Vista are excellent as well.

The only other condo I've stayed at is Star Island. It was decent. Not a lot of stuff to do, but the rooms were as nice as they are at BC. It only lacks the water slides and bars. And proximity to Epcot, but it's only like 7 minutes from WDW.

The Renaissance Sea World has great variety of amenities like WBC but it is a hotel not a condo with kitchen

Not sure when you are traveling, but I plugged in a couple different weeks and found availability at Sheraton Vistana Resort through the Dream Res. link here on the DIS. SVR doesn't have the pool slides that WBC does, but it is a great resort and the condos are gorgeous on the inside. You can find out more about SVR on the SVR review thread in the Hotel Reviews link at the top of this thread.

I second the recommendation for the Sheraton Vistana Resort. The condos are spacious and completely renovated on the interior, with great amenities (flat screen TV's, washer/dryer, full kitchen with dishwasher, etc.). The resort itself has so much to offer....7 pools, 6 hot tubs, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, mini golf, multiple playgrounds, and the Fishpipe. There are daily scheduled activities hosted by their FUN Team including poolside movies, bingo, pool parties, karaoke, tie-dye t-shirts, and more.

There is no lazy river, and only one of the pools has a slide. That said, each of the pools offer something a little different from the other (two have waterfalls, two have in-water volleyball, one has movies, one has water fountains to play in, etc.).

Thank you for the suggestions everyone! Will be looking into them!

We stayed at Renaissance over New Years. Loved it but spent most of our time at SeaWorld. And spent an absolute fortune on food for our family of 6 since I couldn't cook anything there. This trip is going to be a bit more laid back , enjoying getting out of the cold, swimming with the kids, etc. So I really want something we can spread out it in, I can make a few meals..

Haven't seen my week on ebay for WBC. Looking at the Marriott resorts through their site. And how do I go about finding a good deal for SVR?

I was able to get a great deal thru skyauctions for SVR in May. You really have to look close at the auction to see what surcharges they are charing. It's listed at the bottom of the page

Dreams Unlimited has a "no housekeeping" offer currently running. They are a sponsor of these boards....I know the link used to be lurking at the top of the page.

Your other option is to rent directly from an owner. Have you tried searching the listings on Redweek, My Resort Network, or Timeshare Users Group? (You may also find something on Ebay). What are your exact travel dates?

We decided on a last minute trip in March too. We were able to get into WBC by going thru Ken and Denise Price at vacation Upgrades. You might try them.

You can check with someone who has Wyndham points and see if they can check availability for Wyndham Reunion. It is near Disney and is similar to Bonnet Creek. They have 10 pools, pool slides, a little water park, activities for the kids etc.

I would have to second Reunion resort if you can contact someone who has Wyndham points. It is about 10 miles from Disney but looks gorgeous. Might become my new favorite resort.
