Hi

Help! Need to know where I can buy "a six pack" of import beer (maybe bass ale) from onsite.

I know you can buy a six pack of budweiser in (probably) any food court, but my sister doesn't care for domestic beer, and I can't remember if there was anything other than budweiser. And we're hoping to buy a six pack rather than just buying one at the bar. I know it will be expensive but if they sell it in a food court or gift shop cooler it should still be less than the bars onsite.

Or should we take a bus to DTD and walk to a store/gas station?

We will be at ASMo - no car.

If it can't be done, I may tell her to ship it to the resort!
thanks!

I don't know what types the Hess convenience stores carry, but there's one within walking distance of DTD and one within walking distance of the Boardwalk resort.

I do not know if the vendors vary from resort to resort but at the PR you can get Bass, Corona, Heineken (maybe one or two others..) along with a group of domestic beers. The price I recall for Corona was around $10.80 (six pack) Domestics around 9.60 which most likely increased in cost... I recall this since I was curious at the time to what Disney was charging for beers (stores/restaurants) since I was drinking them in the concierge lounge.

I would go to Hess across from DTD. Take the bus to DTD and walk across the street. That is your cheapest option. Otherwise you'd have to get a taxi to go there or an off-property gas station or Publix and then you're at the mercy of the taxi driver as to how long and expensive that trip is.

You could also use a grocery delivery company. I mean, I don't know how far you're willing to go for a particular beer, but there might be a point where being a "captive" may lend itself to going to the hotel bar and saving yourself a lot of trouble. :thumbsup2

We'll be there for just three nights. So, I do think that we'll take one shot at going to DTD and across the street to Hess. If they don't have what she wants there, I will buy her a couple of beers each night at the bar!!
-thanks everyone!

Correction! You'll be practically "across the street" on Buena Vista Dr from the Epcot/Boardwalk area. So you're right by the Hess there. It's 1.5 miles from the main central POP parking lot, so you could actually walk it if you were feeling adventurous. Either way it much closer than DTD.

So the best option from All Star Movies is:

Movies to MGM
and then either bus or boat to Boardwalk

Then walk to Hess from Boardwalk

right?

Yes, you will walk out the front of BW and out to the street and then you can't miss the Hess - it's right in front of you. If you decide you bought more than you can carry, you can always taxi back to ASMo from BW, otherwise just take the boat from BW to the Studios and your bus back to ASMo.

Again, please forgive me. Long day. I thought you were staying at POP. But the Hess near POP is still closer for you.

It may be easier, however, just to bus to DTD if you have a direct ride. That way one stop.

Cool, thanks!

It's good to have a feel for where things are. This trip we arrive this Sunday afternoon and leave wednesday afternoon. We have a lot of free time to explore on this trip! We are not doing the "parks", just the halloween party Tuesday! Oh - and the best part - it's just the girls on this trip! :woohoo:
