Resort Hopping and Food Transfer??

We'll be resort hopping on our september trip (three different resorts), and will be buying groceries on our first day.

However, how do we get the food from resort to resort? Will they transfer it too, along with our bags? Do we have to pack it up and take it over ourselves? I'm sure they have fridges in bell services; just wondering if they'll also transfer it. (not sure how I feel about someone else around our food though!)

What if we're transferring from a DVC property to a regular Disney hotel?

Would appreciate any insight.

I would presume it would have to be securely packaged and if you're taking anything that is refrigerated you should probably walk that over to your new resort by hand because it would probably spoil in the transfer.

Personally, I'd pack a soft-sided cooler and take any perishables over to the new resort myself. Wouldn't want to risk anything rotting ... or spilling all over my stuff. You can always just opt for a taxi to do your transfers? Might make it easier.

The soft-sided cooler is a good idea - we will definitely have refrigerated stuff, so maybe a refrigerated cooler bag would work, and then we can drive it over to the new resort in the morning.

Funny you asked this, we were just talking about doing a split stay on our next trip between a Fort Wilderness cabin and Boardwalk. I know that bell services has a refrigerator, folks have said they have stored grocery deliveries for them. I think it's true at most if not all resorts. You could always call and ask in advance about it.

I would plan to bring the food and then leave it with bell services if your room isn't ready.
