Resort Hoppin' with Wigd and Shocker! Contests!

Great shot of Elliot!! I ♥ him ;-)
Thanks Steph! Those pictures were all Shocker! Elliot is cool!
GREAT parade pictures!! Looks like a great time!! :thumbsup2

Bay Lake looks just gorgeous - my aunt and uncle are there now, staying before their DVC member cruise. I am dying to hear what they thought of it - I would love to stay there!!
Oh Katie, Bay Lake is a beautiful resort! I hope your aunt and uncle enjoyed their stay and cruise!
I love your tea party. What a clever way to teach measurement!
Thanks Jen! I hope the kids learn something!
Looks like you had a fun trip to KC :thumbsup2 I soooo miss having a Disney Store close by.....but....maybe that is a good thing ;) Hooray for a dismeet too!!
Your tea party turned out absolutely adorable!!!! I love it!!:goodvibes
:lovestruc the parade pictures!!!! Can't wait to see it....or Boo to You for that matter!! Baylor's intended!!!! I forgot about his arranged marriage!!! :rotfl:

Tracy
Thanks Tracy! I can't wait for Boo to You either! It seems like forever still...
Love the Tea Party! What a clever idea.

Great pictures from the parade. I haven't seen it since my very first trip ever in the 80's.

Did you show Baylor the picture of his future wife? How's he coming along on that castle?
I need to print off that picture for Baylor to remind him of his obligation....
He has done NOTHING on that castle.
Have you tried to youtube the MSEP?
I loved the parade pictures they brought back great memories of our trip in June.

The Halloween Plushies of Mickey and Minnie at the Disney story would have came home with me yesterday if I had noticed them at the Disney store yesterday. It is great that as we were meeting outside of Atlanta you were having a KC meet.

As a retired Math teacher I love your tea party display, I know the kids will love it.
There is always Disneyshopping.com ! They are more than happy to send them right to your door!
The tea party was so much fun to think up, not so much fun to put up....
YAY for a trip update, and YAY for fun in Kansas City, Tea Parties, and, gotta love it, Chik Fil-A!!! We have one up the street, they have AWESOME chicken breakfast burritos!! And their criss cross cut fries, are the best!!! Milk shapes.... YUMMMM... :cloud9:

I so loved seeing your 4th of July pics of the castles, especially after last year for me :) So much fun!!!! Great pics there! You seemed like you had a great time.
:goodvibes
Hey Jennifer! I have missed you! Yes so much to catch up on for both of us.
Isn't this a crazy time of year?
So much fun coming up with our Halloween trips!
ah, shucks! Thanks! :goodvibes It was great to meet you both too, I had lots of fun! We will definately do lunch next time.
We also need to discuss this "Meet me in St Louis" road trip...
At least you might want to caravan with us....
What a fun dance party with Stitch!

I was humming along with the pictures of MSEP! Can't beat the Baroque Hoedown!

I do wonder what the caterpillar is smoking -- it certainly doens't make him very nice since he is always fussing at Alice. LOL!
That bug needs to try something that makes him happy!
Playing catch up. Back from an exhausting hot week in the world.
Did I hear you got a jury summons??? Have you been called already?

What a way to end July 4th !!!
Yes you did see that over on JillyB's thread! :goodvibes
I got a stand-by summons and call on the 27th between 11 and 12 to find out if I have to show up at 1:00 pm. Now how in the heck does a teacher have a sub in place for something like that?
Lesson plans? :confused3
Lucky for me that I have a teaming classroom and my team teachers will cover my 20 students will be taken care of by them for the afternoon if I have to go.
The other days I will have to get a sub and write lesson plans. UGH!
I hope I'm not chosen.

Love the pictures of the MEP!! Elliot brings back such great memories, I love that movie!!!!!

Love your tea party!! SUCH amazing ideas you have!!!

Hope you have a great week Anita!!!!!

Hi Jen! Thanks on my tea party, I am so pleased with that thing, it makes me happy to look at it!
You know it was a drug induced idea from the pain meds right after my surgery....:rolleyes1
oh well....
You have a great week to sweetie!

That tea party is awesome Anita! What a fun way to teach measurements :thumbsup2

It must have been so wonderful to just walk on over to the MK from BLT :goodvibes Looks like the dance party and parade were the perfect way to end the evening!
It was so much fun to just walk over and enjoy the dance and parade!
Don't you love the way I can sneak Disney in with that tea party?;)
Hey Anita! If you are still looking for the peas in the pod, I'm almost positive I had them in my hands last Thursday. Let me know if you want me to check, I can swing by the Disney Store here for you. :) I'll PM you my number.
Thanks for checking! Those peas have just rolled out of all the stores!
I do believe the caterpillar is smoking a hooka. That's what it looked like and smelled like to me anyway!

Hookas are available everywhere in my neighborhood. Often found right next to the baby diapers and canned peas at the bodegas. :rotfl: (i'm serious! gotta love this crazy city!) People smoke 'em on the street, they are quite the setup!
My daughter mentioned that they were in Vegas too!
LOVE the tea party! You are so creative! :goodvibes

MEP pictures came out great. Looking forward to the day I see a Disney parade again!
I hope you get to see a Disney parade soon too!
We were making our way back to the poor side of town to fall into bed, and you young whippersnappers were out doing the town! It would be very nice to have that short walk to Magic Kingdom, no doubt.

Sorry I couldn't do the Chick-Fil-A (spelling?) thing for you Saturday. The oodles of noodles and sesame chicken were calling to Bella and me. :) I think you were covered, though, as several people ate that for you. :thumbsup2
I noticed that you had Chinese food on your tray! It looked pretty good!
I think Brooklynn would have had a good time at that dance party! We had no idea what we were doing, but since it wasn't raining and it was our last night, we figured why not take advantage of the location...

I was at the Disney store yesterday and they didn't have any Peas in a Pod plushes :sad2: The CM told me they had been out of them for awhile and that their popularity had been very underestimated, she gets asked about them all the time.

Hope you have some luck finding one somewhere!
Thanks for checking! I'm sure ebay has taken it's toll on them!
When I was at the Disney store yesterday, I picked that up several times and thought about buying it. I ended up not, though. :sad2: It's just so adorable, and DS16 loves Pluto, so maybe I'll go back and get it. :rolleyes1

That turned out great! You are so creative!!! :worship:

Love the pictures from the MSEP! :lovestruc
I have some other Halloween characters that I use on my October bulletin board so I didin't get them either.
Thanks on the tea party, I like it too!
MSEP is really fun!
Good Evening Anita!! Just got home from my school's Open House and I had the most wonderful package waiting for me!! Thank you so much!!!!! I hope all is going well in your world!!!!! Lots of hugs!!
Hugs right back, glad you liked it!
I did the same thing when I was shopping with Widg! He was so stinking cute..... I like the halloween bowl but they were sure proud of it.... :rotfl: It was a little more than I wanted to spend.
You are great at enabling though!
:yay: Congrats Jen!!!!
You go girl!
Hey Wigd how are you?! I was so happy today because I now have 2 that's right 2 new tickers :cool1: and realized I had no one to share it with :sad1:! So I thought I would share it with you! Of course no one can keep up with your 4 tickers :rolleyes1 but I thought it was worth a try!! What are your dates for New Years? We are coming in on the 1st and leaving on the 5th... And I am so excited for the Boardwalk! Close to Epcot and Jellyrolls! Can we use your secret entrance now? For August I will be booking BLT for the 20th thru the 27th on Monday, but really waiting for December 20th to hopefully switch to Beach Club which is where my kids want to go! Hoping for some pre-Christmas pixie dust :wizard:!
2 tickers are awesome Gina and I'm so happy that you shared it with me! Unfortunately we leave on the 28th to come home. We will miss out on seeing you, but you will love the secret entrance.:goodvibes
I hope you are able to switch over to Beach Club! We love it there, you will too! I'll bet you get it, if not go on a wait list. They always work out for us that far out.

July 5th, My Birthday....

Dawned with heavy skies.

We packed and called for bell services to move out of Bay Lake.
Our purple lockers, bags and groceries were sent over to the Beach Club.
The pool toys and snacks were kept back and taken in the taxi with Marc and I. First we checked in upon arrival, when our villa wasn't ready we decided to head out to the pool and stake out a place down by the sand bar to relax. The health club provided a great place to change.
Marc snagged us a table and several lounge chairs. So the relaxing began.

We got a text that our villa was ready so we left our stuff by the pool and dashed up to see our location.
We got a chuckle out of our view!

DSCN2042.jpg

I would never have taken this picture preferring to see the positive!

Just off of the bedroom balcony and this is what you see!!!
DSCN2043.jpg

DSCN2044.jpg

Now back at the pool, there was some sort of dance convention going on and we saw some big hair. Those poor girls couldn't begin to get in the pool!

DSCN2060.jpg

OK, I take it back, they got in!

DSCN2061.jpg

DSCN2066.jpg

I'm not sure if this was a Texas dance mom or not but we thought she was interesting.:rolleyes1

DSCN2071.jpg

Now it's time to beg forgiveness because I have no pictures of our time with MeMom, Jill, John, Brooklynn, Bella, Trent, and Tanya.
We were all in the pool.
Well, not MeMom.
She took all the pictures.
She also got no kitchen sink. :sad2:
Anyway we visited and played in the water. I got a birthday gift. :cloud9:
Brooklynn took one slide down the big slide, bubby caught her but one time was enough for her.
We had a good time in the sand bar area and all too soon we needed to get out and get ready for my birthday dinner reservation.
If we could have canceled we would have, although it ended up being one of my most favorite meals of all times.

Where was our destination for this dinner?

Cali Grill!
We had told them well before hand that we were celebrating my birthday and yes I was wearing my button, but did that lead to anything special?

DSCN4234.jpg

Everything we had was excellent!

Bread

DSCN4232.jpg

Triple Cheese Flatbread - Made with Pecorino, Asiago, and Provolone with sun-dried tomato and basil pesto. - $12.00
DSCN4235.jpg

Marc had theOak-fired Filet of Beef - Served with loaded mashed potatoes, Broccolini and teriyaki bar sauce - $44.00

DSCN4236.jpg

For me the Grilled Pork Tenderloin - Served with goat cheese polenta, button mushrooms, and Zinfandel glaze. - $34.00 I did ask to have this prepared medium well.

DSCN4237.jpg

Valrhona Chocolate Cake - Warm Chocolate cake with molten center, caramel crunch ice cream, whipped cream, caramel sauce - $13.00

DSCN4238.jpg

Anyone notice anything missing here in this dessert picture? No happy birthday! Why do they bother asking?
Can you say disappointed?
Oh well, that pork was the best thing I have ever tasted in my life!!!

It was really raining out when the fireworks went off at MK so we didn't bother going out to watch, besides we had just watched from Bay Lake the two previous nights and that would have been hard to beat.
We made our way back to Beach Club and prepared for our final move over to Boardwalk where we could finally settle in.

Happy belated birthday!

Ahh the Beach Club. Even on an overcast day it is still awesome. I have yet to find my "perfect" lounge chair location around SAB. Do you prefer the sandbar area?

Glad you and the MeMom group had fun. I have yet to try the slide myself. Goodness, for staying at the BC so much there is still a lot I have to do. Have you tried it?

Your meal looks positively delicious although I am sorry to hear there were no birthday surprises. Their flatbreads are so good, aren't they??

I'm so sorry they forgot your birthday!:sad2: How dare they?:scared1: I'm glad it was a wonderful meal but they took all the fun out of it.

Other than that your birthday looked so relaxing. A day by the pool with hair entertainment.

Happy Birthday, again! :cake:

You are forgiven for not having pictures of me. :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

Trent and Tanya went to a park before we thought about the Kitchen Sink. We'll get to one of those someday.

Very cute top. What's the picture on the front?

The food looks incredible. Yuuuuummm!
Sorry they didn't remember your birthday.

Yikes. We just have to call the night before to see if we still have to report. Our County court is great Wi-Fi, movies, popcorm etc. It is like a spa day. The federal court which I got called to but it was cancelled stated on the paperwork, no computer, no cell phones, no cameras so I figure- no spa day? :confused3

Glad to hear the Beach Club was fab. Boo to Cali grill for no recognizing your B-Day.

I had to figure out where I left off here since I am at work and don't have my bookmarks to help. I got scroll by MSEP again and was singing along. I listened to the CD on the way in to work. If I have to work I might as well be happy when I get there. :thumbsup2 Thanks again.

Thanks Christine! It was a lovely day at the Beach Club! We picked the sand bar spot so the girls could play! It was our first time there normally Baylor prefers to be over by the volleyball net in front of the DJ. He wasn't along on this trip so we were free to choose!
I like the slide, it really isn't nearly as fast as the clown slide across the way!
The meal we sooo good! That pork to die for and the flat bread yum!
I didn't mean to be end the update with a negative tone, it was a great day!
I'm so sorry they forgot your birthday!:sad2: How dare they?:scared1: I'm glad it was a wonderful meal but they took all the fun out of it.

Other than that your birthday looked so relaxing. A day by the pool with hair entertainment.
They just make such a big deal over what are you celebrating and then forget it? Oh well, the meal was so very good!
Happy Birthday, again! :cake:

Sorry they didn't remember your birthday.

It's kind of an artsy picture of a flower on the top. I wore it to meet the teacher night too...
I suggest Cali Grill goes on you list...
Kitchen Sink we must try for again!

I know you had your camera out so SAB will be posted on MeMom's trip report!

I figure I'll have my computer and iphone so DIS and FB while I wait IF I have to go. The problem will be getting there and finding a parking place.
Cali Grill and no birthday message on the dessert was stinky.
SAB with friends was a great time!
oh I forgot
That was some BIG hair.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
That was a shame to be by that great pool and not be able to swim!

For me the Grilled Pork Tenderloin - Served with goat cheese polenta, button mushrooms, and Zinfandel glaze. - $34.00 I did ask to have this prepared medium well.

Oh well, that pork was the best thing I have ever tasted in my life!!!

If we actually keep our ADR here, this is the very thing I am planning to order. Well, this or a sushi plate instead. You enthusiastic endorsement may have pushed me back to this dish instead though.

Yumm.

Now back at the pool, there was some sort of dance convention going on and we saw some big hair. Those poor girls couldn't begin to get in the pool!
oh my goodness, that hair, they must be wigs???? I can't even imagine how HOT that would be.

Bummer about the kitchen sink, I wanted to do that on our trip and it just never happened.

Anyone notice anything missing here in this dessert picture? No happy birthday! Why do they bother asking?
Can you say disappointed?
Oh well, that pork was the best thing I have ever tasted in my life!!!

That is SUCH a bummer about the dessert, I would have been bummed too.

Happy belated birthday!

Glad you and the MeMom group had fun. I have yet to try the slide myself. Goodness, for staying at the BC so much there is still a lot I have to do. Have you tried it?

I have yet to find my perfect spot either, we always ended up by the slide exit. I can't believe you haven't been on the slide, we must fix that! It is FAST!

That looks like the perfect spot to stake-out for families with little ones! We always ended up near the slide exit, which was also near the whirlpool.

I wonder if they were Irish dancers? The wigs look similar to what my niece wears to competitions. :confused3

I've seen so many good reviews of this dish! :thumbsup2

Those poor girls in that BIG hair :scared1:
Your photos of the BC are great! Can't wait for the YC in November.
I'm so sorry Cali Grill didn't do something special for your bday :sad2:

Awww...SAB how I adore thee!!!! What a great pool area!!

Got to love the hair LOL!!! WOW look at all of those curls!!

Yay for fun pool time with MeMom and gang!!!!!

No Happy Birthday on your dessert at Cali Grill...wow they sure did drop the ball on that one!! CG is one of my favorite meals and next time I go I'm going to try that pork dish, sounds and looks amazing!!!!!

If we actually keep our ADR here, this is the very thing I am planning to order. Well, this or a sushi plate instead. You enthusiastic endorsement may have pushed me back to this dish instead though.

Yumm.
Honestly I just wasn't feeling like going to Cali Grill but in the end was so glad that we did and can't wait to go back!
That pork was melt in your mouth!
Unless you really like it pink I would recommend ordering it med well though... and it was still pink.

oh my goodness, that hair, they must be wigs???? I can't even imagine how HOT that would be.

Bummer about the kitchen sink, I wanted to do that on our trip and it just never happened.

I really like being right in front of the DJ unless I want to read...
We might take Harper spring break so it will be sand bar for us again.
That hair had to be synthetic wigs!!!
All that curl!
I was surprised that Cali Grill neglected to do a bday message on my dessert.
That looks like the perfect spot to stake-out for families with little ones! We always ended up near the slide exit, which was also near the whirlpool.

I've seen so many good reviews of this dish! :thumbsup2

The whirlpool is a nice spot too! The last time I got in there I kind of skinned my elbow up on the edge though, that thing whipped me around!:scared1:

Some of them very well could have been Irish dancers, and other kinds too!

I had heard some good reviews of that pork too, I just knew that I needed it cooked more...
Those poor girls in that BIG hair :scared1:
Your photos of the BC are great! Can't wait for the YC in November.
I'm so sorry Cali Grill didn't do something special for your bday :sad2:
Jen, you are going to love the YC in November at your conference!!!
Awww...SAB how I adore thee!!!! What a great pool area!!

Got to love the hair LOL!!! WOW look at all of those curls!!

We sure had fun at SAB didn't we?
You should try that pork, you will love it!

Ohhhh that hair!!!! Poor girls!! I am thinking Irish dancers too :confused3
Love the slide at SAB. And the pool. And the drinks by the pool. :thumbsup2
I am really excited for my reservation at CG now. I am sooooo getting that pork and I want it medium well too....pink just freaks me right out

Tracy

What a bummer to be at that great pool and unable to get in with those wigs!

Cali looks delicious, but what a shame they didn't do anything for your birthday! :(

I bet you had a blast hanging out with MeMom, Jill, and the gang at Stormalong Bay! So much fun must have been had!

I had the girls sit down and do a list of their must-do attractions yesterday. They used their Birnbaum Guides for Kids to pick out the attractions. After the list making was done Alison continued browsing through her book and all of a sudden she shouts out "Oh!!! Scary clown!" It was the clown slide at SAB.

What no Kitchen sink when you were soooo close to it :scared1:! The horror of it all.... Heck in July we got there after 8p and waited until almost 10p and closed the place - but that kitchen sink was sooo worth it!! My kids were falling asleep waiting, but perked right up when the brought it out! :rotfl: Can't wait to see what your next view is of!
