Resort/home rentals with private pool

We are looking for a resort rental location that offers homes/townhomes with private pools or the best neighborhood to try to rent a home for a week that is close to Disney? We'll be doing a few parks days and Disney Springs and do not need a shuttle. We are looking for 3 bedrooms, washer/dryer, parking, and a heated private pool. Bonus if there is a community amenity with a pool with slides or lazy river. We've never stayed off-site so am not sure what locations might be best to look at.

I saw Villatel as one potential option, but they almost look like too large of units for us.

We stayed in Windsor Hills in 2017 & 2018, booked with vrbo. We normally do deluxe Disney hotels. We were very happy with location & having extra room & saving money. They have different options, but we stayed at a townhome both times. Private pools were just tiny pools, but they do have onsite community pool with slides.

A lot of people also like Bonnett Creek for space & pool/lazy River. So check that option

And Sheraton Vistana is another popular one.

There are thousands of rental homes that fit your description.

I would start by looking at the big rental sites, like vrbo or airbnb, then set a budget and make a list of the specific amenities you want.

For example, some homes will have tiny pools and some larger pools. Some will have hot tubs and some not. Some homes are themed and some are not. Some communities have more amenities than others.

You need to pare down the results to to something managable.

We’ve never done it in Orlando, but my sister has a few times. I think the place she rented from was all star homes or something like that. She was very happy with the pricing, service and every place she stayed was very nice.

As a previous poster said, there are a lot of fully equipped vacation homes with heated pools available for rent. Many are located southwest of WDW as that area allows short term home rental. We rented our former vacation home for a couple of years.

Go to a site like vrbo and search around the WDW area. I'll get you started with a search of the neighborhood we used to live in:

You will see a lot of four, five, and some three bedroom homes listed. If you move around the map you will see many more. Make sure to look for homes that have plenty of good reviews.

There are, as others have said, many options available. We stayed in Windsor Hills with a very small private pool, and then in a neighborhood just west of Route 27, with 4 bedrooms and a large pool. Even though the mileage difference between the houses was only 4-5 miles, the travel difference was 10 minutes from Windsor Hills and close to 30 from the Route 27 home. The traffic in these areas combined with numerous stoplights can make even a few miles journey take a long time.
