Resort Help!!

OK I know this belongs on the resort board but I need all the traffic I can get. DF and I are staying at the Poly for our honeymoon (2/21-2/23), but the thing is we want to stay on 2/20 also...well they don't have a room available at the poly for that ONE night....

I reserved the 2 nights on Friday (while they were available) and decided to call on Saturday to see if they could just add on that Sunday (2/20) for me....well no such luck....I was on the phone with a gentleman CM last evening and he was trying to find some pixie dust for me....he came up with a few solutions...non was what I really want which is all 3 nights at Poly.....

So I am thinking of doing FWL for the first night (it is the most bang for my buck)..we know we don't want to stay at a value (no offense we usually stay at POP but we want a different experience for our honeymoon)..

So here is where I need your HELP.....can you please let me in on any secrets/pixie dust/helpful ideas...I will take anything at this point..... I will be calling everyday (should I call more than once a day)..to try and get that room.....

Also if we do book FWL or another resort and we find a room at the POLY for the night we want will we loose out on our money or will they transfer the ressie?!?!

What about the GF? I stayed there last year and it was AMAZING! You may not want to leave if you stay there for just one night.

If you book WL and then find another Resort available they will transfer your deposit without penalty, even if it within the five day cancellation window. When you make the reservation and the agent asks about the down payment, then give the reservation number to cancel and ask that the deposit be transferred. Note that you may have to pay any difference immediately.

What about the GF? I stayed there last year and it was AMAZING! You may not want to leave if you stay there for just one night.

This is an option....there is only a Bay Lake view, but still an option..Thanks for the help

I had the CM quote me some prices for these resorts....and it is still an option since we are doing Epcot the first day.....but it is about $100 more per night than WL....Thanks for the help

Thank you for the info...my biggest fear is I book WL and then a night opens at Poly....I will keep this in mind when I call to check this evening....

Wilderness Lodge is a resort, Fort Wilderness I think is a campground. Just make sure you know which one you are booking!

If you are going to Epcot your first day the Boardwalk hotel might be fun! Good luck I hope Poly opens up!!!! I will cross my fingers for you!
