Resort grounds in the winter?

I am wondering how lush the grounds are this time of year. Anyone just back with pictures they can share? I am wondering if there any plants blooming and if the flower beds are full? How about the trees? I am curious if a lot of trees in Florida loose their leaves or only some. I am also wondering if Florida has a spring season.

Can you tell I'm a northern girl? Everything here is dormant until at least April, and that is if we are lucky! We slowly start to green up in April and even then trees typically do not have all of their leaves until at least Mother's Day.

Thanks! :daisy:

The resorts are still beautiful in the winter. There are many flowering plants that are cool weather and those are planted for the fall and winter. Most trees keep their leaves until it is time for new ones.

Disney makes sure that the greenhouses have flowers all year round. Besides Orlando has plenty of pine trees, which you know doesn't have leaves.

I love Disney in the winter. I live in New England, so it's a great break. The grounds are lovely as always, with plenty of flowers and green. But take your warm clothes, because you can get a sudden cold spell. Have a wonderful time!

We haven't been in '08 yet, (only 13 more days to go!) but here are a few photos over the past few years. We tend to go in Feb and March, and it's still beautiful. Also, don't forget that Florida is a bit tropical. they don't get extreme weather either way, so there isn't really a "winter".

And Duckies :donald:

They have gardeners all year round changing out the flower and everything always looks so fresh and bright.

Lovin' Lorne, I do see some very pretty flowers in those pics. I hope your 2008 trip is wonderful.

Thanks everyone! :daisy:
