Have been looking at staying on property next year and recently read about having groceries delivered to your WDW resort for when you arrive. Just wondered if anyone has done this from the UK and if so how they found the service in respect to cost and service. We were planning to not get a car so possibly no Walmart trips. Thanks guys

We used gardengrocer for 7 out of the last 8 trips and can't recommend them highly enough. Service is fabulous - never had problems with the service at all. The cost is not as cheap as you might expect for the USA, however, at $8 for 20 bottles of water as opposed to $2.20 per bottle in the parks it is a no brainer. We find that the money we save on water alone more than pays for all of our other snack shopping/fruit/drinks plus all the American label products we like to bring home with us. If you book more than 60 days out they give you 10 per cent discount too. :)

We've also used Garden Grocer many times. They are fabulous! We've used them to order all kinds of stuff including beer!! They are extremely reliable and all the products what we've purchased have been of excellent quality.

We have been debating on whether to put an order in. It will be our first time having groceries delivered so it is great to see/hear other people's experiences. I haven't heard a bad thing said about garden grocer.

The only thing that put me off when I looked a few weeks ago was that we would struggle to make the minimum order amount. But thinking about it we could stock up on bottles of water and loads of goodies that we can't get in this country.

Also do you need a room number or can it get delivered to the resort that you will be staying at.

It gets delivered to your resort and bell services will hold it for you if your out, keeping chilled stuff refrigerated, they'll leave a message on your room phone then deliver when your back.So no room number required. We always order a pack of individual bottles of water then a few gallon bottles, it saves a fortune. We order snacks to take home like Cheetos etc

we always order for 'ish' the time of our flight arrival. So if we are due to arrive at 3pm we order for 3-4 knowing that the chances are we won't even have left immigration when our groceries arrive. We then let bell services know upon arrival and they always bring our groceries up to the room with our suitcases. This has always worked so far (CSR, AKL, OKW, BC) and apart from the fact that we tip extra than we would do for suitcase delivery it means everything arrives with us !

Another Garden Grocer fan. Order 60 days out and get 10% off, just done my latest order. They buy from Publix and the Publix bakery items are divine (especially the Muffins!)

Thanks for the tip...we will have to try some of the muffins :-)

What's the situation with ordering beer? How do they id you?
I believe you have to send them a scan of your ID.

I'll add another vote for Garden Grocer. They are fantastic. And honestly, the prices may be a little inflated but paying the premium though GG saves me money - going into Publix means I will be buying all sorts of interesting items that I really don't need!

Thanks everyone. All very positive about it so might give them a shot when we do get round to the trip next year (so far away :( )
