Wanting to book a hotel for two adult and two children(ages 14 and 12) for our 2026 vacation in March. Can’t decide between two rooms at Pop, a family suite at AoA or one standard room at POFQ. I love POFQ and know my kids will love the atmosphere and food but will NOT like sharing a bed. Also, the Skyliner is a favorite too. I can’t decide as each has their pros and cons. Any suggestions? TIA!

If pricing works out similarly with potential discounts, I would go with Art of Animation in a family suite. You get your own room with a private bathroom and they get their own beds and their own bathroom. Those rooms have quite a bit of space in the living area. I would prefer, with kids that age, to have them in one room together. AoA also has indoor corridors, which I prefer. If they really love waterslides, and you like French Quarter, then maybe try a room next door at Riverside that has a 5th sleeper. That works out well if your kids aren't too tall. I think the pull down beds are comfy enough for a kid under 5'4 or so. You can walk over to French Quarter and use their slide too.

Definitely would not do 1-room at POFQ. We started booking 2 rooms, even outside WDW, when our boys were about that age. I couldn't stand sharing a bathroom with my kids....boys, IYKYK🤣 I'd lean towards the rooms at Pop or a family suite at AoA. If you really want a waterslide, you could look at POR with the 5th sleeper, as mentioned above. Or if you really want access to the skyliner. maybe look at CBR with the 5th sleeper. But if it were me, once I start looking at moderates, I'd maybe look at renting DVC points.

You can no longer book a 5 sleeper without five people in the room sadly

I’d do the family suite at AoA. Connecting rooms at Pop would be a request and not guaranteed, so you could end up with one parent and one teen in one room and the others down the hall or even farther away. AoA keeps everyone together.

As long as you choose a room that specifically lists 5th sleeper, you can book it with any amount of people up to 5. Just be sure it says 5th sleeper if you go that way.

Consider renting a DVC 1 bedroom in a room like Old West that has 3 dedicated sleeping spaces and a ton of space in general. Animal Kingdom Kidani and Bay Lake1 bedroom units even include 2 bathrooms.

They no longer show up when you search if you have less than 5 in the room. Sadly. We had a thread about it for awhile. It applies to bookings in 2026 and forward

I stayed in the CARS Family Suite and would not recommend .
There was a separate room for parents but the other sleeping area was the dining table that pulled down and a not very comfortable couch/ daybed in the same room as the kitchenette/ living room area.
I recommend you check the floor plan .

It works in 2025 but no longer in 2026 (which is what the OP mentioned as when they were traveling)
Do you mean that if I wait and book in January, for say a March trip, the 5th sleeper is not an option anymore? I looked and I can book March right now with a 5th sleeper. The description says, max of 4 adults in the room. I see other people in the thread you mentioned also had no problem booking it for 2026. I'd like clarification because we do still frequent those rooms at Caribbean. Thanks.

Can you tell me what dates for stays in 2026 you are booking for a family of 4 that allows you to book a 5th sleeper room? (Screenshot would also be great)

Sure. March 11-14 at Port Orleans.
Nice catch! I can see all 5th sleeper blocked from Caribbean Beach but can for Port Orleans. if you want a 5th sleeper I would get it while you can as travel agents were told in Disney training it would not be allowed going forward in 2026. I would not wait until Jan to book it if you want it.
