WE are trying to plan another vacation for spring break next year, first week of April. It will be my FDH, myself and teen stepson. I was thinking of getting connceting room at POP or should we geta 1 bedroom at OKW? We went last summer and stayed at CBR with connecting rooms. It worked out great.
Just wanted to try something else. :earsboy:

I'd go with OKW- though I've never even visited Pop, we stayed at OKW and really enjoyed the extra room, and boat access to Downtown Disney. Be sure and stay near the main building if you can, OKW is huge. Or maybe in the Turtle Pond area for access to the smaller pool and snack bar. We enjoyed just walking around in the evening enjoying the bunnies on the sidewalk. It has an almost residential feeling - with parking right outside your door you don't have to wait on the bus if you don't want to. With a teenage boy- you might appreciate the full size refrigerator in a one bedroom for snacks and cokes. Also it has a full size washer and dryer so less packing! They just rehabbed the main pool from my understanding, and have added a waterslide. Have fun!

Thanks, I really like the idea about the fridge and washer/dryer. That will come in handy. What are the balconies like? Is there privacy in the rooms at OKW; I know there is a sofa that he can sleep on. I couldn't remember if they have just one bathroom? If there is just one, is there 2 entrances? I just like my privacy. :guilty:

The balconies are an octagon shape stacked on the one below, and have a nice size table and chairs. Ours looked out on the golf course. We were on the ground floor. I think they also have a ceiling fan on each. The bathroom was a split type. I believe one had a shower with pedastal style sink, the other bathroom had a huge whirlpool tub, vanity, and toilet from what I remember. There is no way a person wouldn't be impressed with these rooms. Very nice! The bathroom with the whirlpool tub had a shuttered window from tub to the bedroom with a door from hallway also separating them. We like it because I had a DD2 at the time, and the rest of us could watch TV, talk, etc. without waking her up.

If you go with the 1 BR at OKW you might want to request a building number 30 or above...in those bldgs the bathroom has an entrance through the laundry room so the teen won't have to traipse through your bedroom to get to the bathroom....in bldgs 11 - 29 you have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom.

OKW is such a nice resort and the 1BR's are HUGE.... they would be perfect for you all but be sure to request a higher number building.

I didn't realize that. I guess we had one of the higher numbers and I assumed they were all the same.
