Hello! My cousin just texted me asking for advice on where to stay on property this summer. They have 3 boys and it will be the kids' first trip. I only have 4 in my family, so I was wondering if someone could tell me which resorts could accommodate 5 people? I'm thinking some have trundle beds available? I doubt they are interested in a suite...probably looking at value or moderate. The littlest one is 4, so he would be fine on a small bed. I just wanted to see what would work for them before I made any suggestions.
Thanks for your help!

Others will chime in but many overlook a Fort Wilderness Cabin that sleeps 6 with a kitchen. Right outside your door is wilderness not a walkway.

The only Value that would accommodate 5 are the Family suites at All Stars and AoA.
For Moderates CBR - which is about to undergo a huge construction project - POR, and The Fort Wilderness Cabins can all accommodate 5. They replaced the Trundle Beds with small fold down beds at CBR and POR.
The 4 YO would be fine on the fold down bed

Thanks! So Coronado cannot accommodate 5? I thought they would love the pool there. I'll probably suggest POR since CBR has the construction. Another thought....are they allowed to stay in a room for 4 with the youngest on a sleeping bag or air mattress? My guess is that's not allowed???

No, that won't be allowed.

We started staying at POR and eventually moved to Beach Club.
I always liked POR though.

CBR and POR , and I know All Star Music and AOA resorts have suites not sure about the other ones.

They allow 5 in any room if the youngest is 3 or under.

Probably too late for DVC points rental .. but DVC studios that sleep 5 with a Murphy bed include:
Poly (Extra shower and sink)
VGF (extra shower)
WL ("old" BRV not new CCV)
BWV and BCV

We have stayed in an Family Suite at All Star Music many times and really like it. We primarily like it because we don't care for the double beds in the regular room at the All Stars and it's nice for us to have a separate room from our teenage son who stays up a lot later than we do on vacation. The other nice perk is that there are two full bathrooms which gets getting dressed in the morning much easier. The only issue that some people don't like is that the room has a queen bed in the "master bedroom" but only a sofa bed, as well as both a chair and ottoman that pull out into beds. Our teenage son is perfectly happy on the sofa bed. He hasn't tried out the ottoman or chair "beds." For younger children I imagine they are just fine. We also stay at Coronado quite frequently and I actually think my son prefers the Family Suite at the All Star Music because he has his own "room" and his own bathroom and doesn't feel like Mom and Dad are climbing all over him.

They could do a jr. suite at CSR, but they're not cheap. Best bet is probably POR if they don't want a value suite, cabin or deluxe room.

Thank you all for your help. I think I will recommend POR, with AoA suite as a 2nd choice. They are only doing 3 nights, so I don't think POR would be too bad for 5 people for a short stay.

Some of the Swan rooms allow 5, but you have to call the hotel front desk to book it. You can also pay for these rooms with points. The pool is amazing.
