Resort fees (and other fees)

What all fees will there be staying at ASMu resort? Just curious.

When I called for reservations with the AP discount they told me the total... I immediately figured it up per day with my calculator and since it was coming up $55.88 or something like that -and I thought it was $49 per night- I asked about that and he said that was the total cost including taxes.

I got the papers for my reservations in the mail today and it's noted on there "reservation includes room and tax only"

Which wouldn't be a big deal to me and lead to questions- but for the fact that I have read others saying something about a resort fee per night or something like that. I would have just thought they were saying that on there because I have room only- not a package deal with ultimate park hopper/etc. But now I wonder!

So will there be an added fee per night I'm there? resort fee or something like that? And if so... shouldn't they tell you about that on the phone call when you give your CC to reserve it with a deposit and/or in the letter they send?

LMK Just want to make sure no other costs creep up on me on this trip. LOL

They just note that on your reservation as it is a "room only" reservation and it doesn't include tickets or a meal package. There are no other fees that will be added.

The resort fee is added at a lot of off site hotels, and also the on-site, Non-Disney Swan and Dolphin. They charge $10/night for paper delivery, coffee, and use of the gym.

Disney doesn't charge any resort fees at any of it's hotels.

There are no resort fees at the WDW resorts. When you read about some resorts charging fees they are speaking of the Swan and Dolphin. WDW does not charge a resort fee. Also if you request a refridgerator they wan't to make it clear that the cost is not included in the price of the reservation. Some resorts guarantee a refridgerator if you request it but it still isn't included in the reservation price they give you. If you buy a package with tickets then the confirmation will state that price if for room, taxes and Utimate park hopper passes or something to that affect. You should get no surprises when you get your confirmation letter. :D

I figured out the cost of a room at an All Star Resort at the rate of $49. The price I came up with including 12% tax is $54.88, so what you said is on target.
