What is your favorite resort and why? What's your favorite restaurant at a resort? What is your favorite recreational activity at a resort?

Well "Uncle Albert," this is a fun question.

My favorite resort is YC/BC (I think of them as one). Why? Because I love the Epcot Resort Area - love walking to World Showcase and boating to MGM. Better than having to deal with the masses on buses and trams. It's not "pedestrian." The boardwalk area is right outside the door, not to mention you can walk over and play golf at Fantasia. But the main reason I love YC/BC resorts is because my husband and I have made such wonderful memories there - it's a tradition for us. A "home away from home."

Now, for your restaurant question. I can't pick one. I just can't. I love Maya Grille at Coronado, Narcoosees (spelling?) at GF, Kona Cafe for breakfast at the Poly, Yachtsman Steakhouse (you know where - love to smell the bernaise sauce cooking while I swim, don't you?).

Recreation - two words: STORMALONG BAY. I also enjoy canoeing at Fort Wilderness although I fell out of the canoe once and my husband has never let me live it down. I enjoyed it nevertheless.

Thank you Uncle Albert - this did bring back memories.

All time favorite resort... AKL!!! We definitely will not be staying anywhere else!!!

favorite restaurant at a resort.... Chef Mickey's character bfast (second favorite meal at WDW just behind CP character bfast)

Uncle Al - Our favorite resort is the Boardwalk Villas because of the location, the views, and the pool. The kids (DD 8, DS 6) love the Kiester Coaster, and we love the constant excitement and activity on the BW.

Our favorite resort restaurant is Whispering Canyon Cafe, but I have to admit that we don't do a lot of resort restaurants. Being at the BWV, we tend to eat at EPCOT or hit the BW restaurants for carry-out.

My favorite resorts are AKL because of the animals, gift shop, pool area, balconies, interior corridors, Boma's, viewing areas, and CBR because of the tropical theme, beaches, lake, building colors, surrey bikes.
My favorite restaurant is Cape May Clambake at the BC.
My favorite activities are resort hopping, riding the monorail, the boat ride from POR to DTD, renting surrey bikes.

The YC is my favorite. We like the walk to and from epcot. Also the walk from MGM. We always beat the boat back from MGM when we walk. What a great time to discuss the next day adventures.

My favorite resort restaurant is Beaches and Cream. YUM...

My favorite activity is setting back and enjoying my children playing with each other and their happy banter. ( Sometimes their not so happy banter) Ha Ha anyone who has children knows what I'm talking about

Favorite resort....POR.
Why ?...I guess its because we have stayed there so much, it almost feels like our "summer" home. We know where everything is at..."the ins & outs" of it. We are VERY comfortable there.

Favorite Restaurant....( I am guessing this is for RESORTS only..not Theme Parks)
Tough one to call...we love to eat, BUT we really don't eat at all the "pricey" places. We like to save / spend our money on other things...so this may sound a bit "different"....
Chef Mickeys & ESPN Club.
WHY ?
Well, we have gone to Chef Mickeys EVERY time we have been to WDW. We actually remember when it was in DTD. The food may not be the best, but to us, we have alot of fun.
ESPN Club---I am a sports nut and they have great atmosphere.
The food, again, may not be the best or even greatest selection, BUT we like it.

Favorite Resort Activity....
Again, may be a bit off the wall...BUT we enjoy the River Roost at POR when Bob Jackson is playing.
WHY?
Not that we are drunks / drinkers or anything like that...BUT it is such a great way to end the day. His show is alot of fun and we can actually sit and have a few drinks and not worry about driving.

Well, I can't pick a favorite resort yet, but my favorite meal experience is definitely 'Ohana at the Polynesian. IMO, it's one of the best meals on property.

Favorite recreational activity has to be Stormalong Bay, & I haven't even swam in it yet!

Well, my favourite resort (so far) is Animal Kingdom Lodge... loved the lobby, pool, hot tub, room, animals and the concierge lounge!

My favourite restaurant at a resort (so far) I liked Boma but I am not a big fan of buffets and sneeze guards... so I would have to say the little cafe restaurant at the Grand Floridian.. I had a wonderful eggs bendict breakfast there and on another visit a nice lunch.

Favourite recreation... We liked mini putt at winterland/summer land and it is so close to Blizzard Beach for some water fun afterwards..

I am trying BC concierge this summer and can't wait to get into SAB and try the restaurants at the BC/YC/BWI area

My favorite is WL. We have stayed a number of times and I still get teary eyed as I enter the lobby and hear the theme music from "Last of the Mohicans". I like everything about the hotel. The fun-ness of Whispering Canyon, the calming waterfalls and the warm and homey feeling the hotel exudes. For me, it is the theme and decor that appeals to such a city-girl!

Polynesian, because its so beautiful, and I love the tropical feel.
Kona Cafe at the Poly, for breakfast or dinner.
Laying on the beach at the Poly sipping frozen drinks.

BC - walk to Epcot MGM, Boardwalk. Really close to everything-fireworks at night and ART the greeter-he's the best.

Yachtsman Steakhouse-like the "Tag"says love it-esp the Bourbon Steak and Land and Sea and Creme Brulee.
Cape May Breaky because of Sammi the server-she's the best.

Love the wakeboarding and parasailing and water mice at the Contemporary.

My favorite resort is CSR!!!!!

AKL is a close second. I do love the AS, becuase they make it possible for me to go more often and anywhere at WDW is better than not being there!

My vote goes to the WL. I love being able to take the boat over to MK.

My vote for favorite resort goes to AKL for it beauty, the animals and the great CM's, as well as the hot tubs.

My favorite resort restruant is BOMA for breakfast we love this all the fresh fruits and choices are just amazing and don't forget the pressed pot of coffee.

As far as resort activities we have never had much time for this but plan on changing that with the next trip. As far a my vote for now it would be just unwinding at AKL on the balcony of our room watching the animals. We found it very hard to tear ourselves away last year and looked forward to comming back at night.

My Favorite is YC/BC. What can I say. It's so nice. I also love Beaches and Cream except for the onion rings make me sleepy. And I like to put my toes in the sand at the bottom of the Storm-a-long Bay

And how 'bout that smell, you forgot to mention the smell when you walk in . Thinking about it puts a smile on my face every time!
