Based on cost I am trying to decide on the following resorts.... DH, DD (age 6)and myself are coming off the 4 day cruise for a 3-day stay at Disney.

Should I go for:
Boardwalk Standard view
Wilderness Lodge Concierge
Swan Club Level

I would have loved BW Concierge but that is just to expensive.
I've done the Poly Concierge (love it, just want to try something new)

All options were based on a AAA rate.

Where are you going to spend most of your time? If MK, then I'd say at WL, if Epcot/MGM then at one of the others.

I'm guessing w/ a 6yo, you'll be at MK alot.

We really loved our WL stay. It's very beautiful & relaxing. The boat ride over to MK is nice.

Well daughter favorites rides are Test Track and Tower of Terror.
Also likes Splash and Thunder mountain. May try Space mountain this time with her. She is tall enough but she is so skinny I feel she may fall out.

I know she will want to try Space. she is not Crazy about the Countries. she has never seen Illuminations (just didn't want to deal with the crowd getting out with her). Will probably eat at Chef Mickey once, others will vary on where we are staying.

So I would say half MK half MGM/Epcot.

Well, then I guess either location would work out for you.

I haven't stayed at your epcot choices, so I can't comment on those. As for resturant for WL, you have the WL resturants (Whispering Caynon, Artist Point), plus the ones at CR (Chef's Mickeys, CA Grill, Concource Steakhouse), plus Trails End at FW.

There is a small boat that goes between WL/FW/CR from 7 am to 10 pm making it very easy to access those resorts. I guess, too, you could take the boat to CR, then monorail to GF. There also is a bus from WL to TTC making it very easy to access those resturants as well.

Too many choices!!!

Good luck!! Where ever you stay, you'll have a wonderful time!

We've stayed at all three of those resorts and I personally would choose WL concierge, no doubt. ::yes:: We really enjoyed the personal service, the lounge, and the lodge itself is beautiful. :)

Second choice would be BWI. It's in a great location, right by Epcot and MGM, but it doesn't seem as kid friendly as the WL. Not that children aren't welcome there, I don't mean that, I just felt it was more romantic and adult. Do you check availability at YC or BC?

Third choice, but definitely not a bad choice, would be the Swan. We really enjoyed our stay there, but once again I felt it was more adult. I've heard the Dolphin is more kid friendly, so maybe check that out.

Good Luck!

...considered Beach or Yacht Club? Both are very nice, with a great pool for kids and they are both near Epcot/MGM. Otherwise, my vote is for WL!!

samoyed, Since you've stayed at the Dolphin, you might be able to tell if you'd like the Swan. Transportation options are the same from both.
The transportation options from the Boardwalk are pretty much the same as the Beach Club.
You've stayed at WL before, so I'm sure you're familiar with those transportation options.

I think it really comes down to your personal likes and dislikes, as far as theming. If you think back to your stays at the Dolphin, BC, and WL, decide which you preferred, and go from there, then I'm sure you'll be able to make the choice that is right for you. :D

LOVE this resort!!! I think that you will probably spend a little more time at the Magic Kingdom and they have a shuttle boat from the Lodge. This is a beautiful resort!!

I'm thinking since you've stayed in the Magic Kingdom Resort area when you were at the Poly, you might enjoy a stay in the Epcot Resort area. So I vote for Boardwalk. I choose it over the Swan simply because it's a Disney-owned resort. I think if you choose the Swan you'll be happy too.

The Epcot Resort area is great. We love the boardwalk area and all the dining options. We adore walking to Epcot and walking/boating to MGM.

Anyway - you've got such great choices you're sure to be happy.

We stayed at VWL last Oct. and my ds6 loved it! There is so much to do! The highlight of the trip for him was renting a bike every afternoon and riding over to Ft. Wilderness! He also loved the pool/poolslide of the main pool! We all loved the theming of the resort! We also ate at Whispering Canyon for several meals and all enjoyed that! We are planning on WL Conc. for our trip in Oct. Happy planning!:bounce:
