It's been at least 9-10 years since my husband and I went to WDW, but I remember the last time we stayed at a Disney Resort, there was a deal at the gift shop. If we spent (I think) $65 or so, we got a really cute fleece blanket for like $10. It was available to everyone, not just annual pass holders or DVC members. We still have the blanket and we treasure it. Some friends of ours say that they also had something similar at Disneyland and got a discounted backpack with purchase. Are the resorts still doing discounts like this? Have they stopped during the pandemic? We are setting our budget and this would be really helpful!

I've visited 3 times since the reopening last July and have not seen any purchase-in-purchase items at the resorts or at the parks. You're right, I love some of the items we were able to get over the years. Maybe for the 50th Anniversary???? :confused3:confused3:confused3

I remember getting a blanket for $10 with a stroller rental one year. That was awesome. I've not seen deals like that in a very long time though, I would say more than 10 years ago.

Update!: tbssenterprises is right. There was a tote bag and I absolutely got one. Since I couldn't snag an ADR for SciFi Drive in, our normal tradition, I kept the tradition of the discounted gift with purchase. I love my tote. What a memory. :D
