Resort Discount Codes???

I posted this on the resort board, but I think I should have posted it here!
My dh and I are looking to book an Anniversary trip, just the two of us, at the end of September. When do the discount codes usually come out for that period of time? Is it better to book the room and then wait for the codes to come out? We would probably be using the Visa card discount code.
Also, what are the discounts like, how much is off of a moderate and a deluxe resort? We usually stay at Shades of Green so that is why I am not quite sure. Thank you for your help!

I'm a little surprised no one has responded to your question, but I will try based on what I just learned from a CM a few minutes ago. There are usually some types of codes announced for Aug and Sept dates, but you usually have to wait to see what the codes are and how much of a discount is offered. There were room only and free dining offers for 2007. We are planning a trip in June, and I was just told that I can book my trip now and if discount codes are announced for the dates I have chosen, I can apply the codes to our existing ressie as long as there is availability. In our case, we are waiting for Florida resident codes to be announced for June. Last year the codes for June weren't announced until May, but you just never know when to expect them.
