This may have been asked already... I couldn't find though, but sorry if a duplicate question.

We are staying at FW in Nov. and plan to do some visiting of other resorts for the day from Monorail or Bus. Is it okay to eat in other resort restaurants or visit the coffee bars even if you are not staying there?

Thanks.

Yes it is perfectly fine to visit other resorts and dine there.
You can find some pretty good restaurants in the resorts.

Have a magical trip!

Not only is it ok, it is encouraged. They want you to see other resorts so you'll come back and stay there!!!

Keep in mind, ADRs will most likely be needed for some of the table service restaurants.

that's half the fun of staying at Disney....visiting the other resorts !! We're staying at the GF and we've got ADR's at the Poly, GF and CR and Boardwalk and the Beach Club. ( huh, I didn't realize we had that many at the resorts! :rotfl: )
But I agree, it is encouraged. If you take the boat to MK, then you can hop the Resort Monorail to go to whichever monorail resort you make ADR's for.

But the resorts have great restaurants ....don't be afraid if you're doing a MK day to hop the monorail to the GF for Cinderella dinner or Mary Poppins breakfast ....or Chef Mickey's or Lelo and Stitch at the Poly. They're tons of fun!!! :goodvibes

Heck, yeah! We're booked at CSR this August. Our ADR's include Kona & Ohana at the Poly, 1900 PF at GF, and Chef' Mickey's at the CR.

Yes, and you should definitely try it!:)
We're staying at AKL in Aug, and are planning on eating at the Poly three times between Ohana and Kona Cafe. They're two of our favorite places and we can hardly wait.
There are some great restaurants at other resorts and it's a nice break from always being in the parks. Have fun!

Not only do we frequent other table service restaurants, we also go to other resort food courts.

We are never that thrilled with our CS meals (lunch) at the MK. Has anyone ever taken the monorail over to the Poly for Captain Cook's or the Contemporary for the Contempo Cafe for lunch or the equivalent, if there is one, at the GF? We travel during the off-season so I don't think the extra time involved would be too much of an issue. I just wondered if their food choices are different enough or good enough to warrant the travel.

Most definitely :goodvibes......that's one thing we love about our Disney trips......visiting other resorts to see where we might want to stay on future trips :). We eat more TS at the resorts than at the parks ;). Have a great trip :wizard:.

We do that also for breakfasts at Captn Cooks at Poly and River Mill Food Court at POR

Captn Cooks is great, for breakfast the Tonga Toast and for lunch some great sandwichs. We usually take the rental car to the different resorts and at the gate we have our resort information on the dash and they check your resort card and no problem you are allowed in to eat.

Yes, and we do so quite often.

We try to book a resort restaurant near the park we are visiting...

We don't care for any restaurants in DHS, so we exit the park, hop the boat to the Boardwalk or a Yacht & Beach Club restaurant.

On our AK day, we eat at Boma @ AKL. Just exit the park and get in line for the AKL bus.

Great... we've just schedule an entire day for this. We will definitely go to Kona Cafe for the french press Kona coffee... and AKL for lunch. We plan to take the monorail from FW to the Poly and AKL (we discovered we can take monorail to Epcot and wallk or take boat over to AKL). Thanks for the info.

The monorail does not go to FW. You can take the boat to MK and get on the monorail. There are NO boats to AKL, which is nowhere near AKL.

If you want to eat at any of the resort TS restaurants be sure to make ADR's in advance. Although there is a chance of walk ups at lunch, they are often booked to capacity for dinner. Even lunch ADR's to be safe.

The monorail does not go anywhere near FW. You will have to take a boat to the Contemporary then the Monorail to the Poly. Your best bet to get to the AKL would be to go to the MK by boat or Monorail from the Poly and take the AKL bus from the MK.

I don't think Disney would ever say "No, we don't want your money because you are staying somewhere else."

Eat wherever you like. But if it is a TS restaurant, make and ADR.
