Does anybody know when the resorts will be decorated for the holidays? when does the GF typically have the gingerbread house up and the BC the carousel? Thinking about making a short trip after a conference in Fort Myers from 11/10-11/14 but am really curious if I'll be too soon to see holiday decorations. It looks like Osborne lights will have started, so I'm hopeful but would like to know if I can find out for sure.
Thanks!

Nobody has been around that time frame in November and can venture a guess for me??? Please???!!!!

It's hard to say. Some will be up by then, some will not be up. They will ALL be up by the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend. But other than that, there's no way to say for sure. There is no set schedule.

We were at WDW/Wilderness Lodge one year the week of Thanksgiving. The Monday night before Thanksgiving the resorts were "normal". Whe we got up Tuesday morning, everything was decorated for Christmas. The kids (and me, to be honest) were soooo excited! This was 10+ years ago so maybe they decorate earlier now.

All the Christmas decorations are guaranteed to be up by the Saturday after Thanksgiving, with the exception of the MK tree, which is put up after the taping of the Xmas parade the following weekend.

Christmas decorations tend to go up during the nighttime hours. You can go to bed one night and the next morning they have started.

Deluxes tend to take longer, because they are more intricate. Things like the gingerbread house at GF and the carousel at BW, for instance, can take several days.

There is really no set time when they are started or completed each year. You may see the beginning of some of the decorations during your time period or you may see them completed near the end of your stay.

You will see a lot of the parks, especially MK and DHS, for the MVMCP and Osborne Family of Lights start early in November, right after the Halloween decorations come down.

When I went several years ago the parks were decorated by mid-November but there was nothing yet at my resort...POR

I have been there that time frame a couple of times and the resorts were not decorated. We usually go back in Dec to see the resort decorations.

We were there in 2011 and the decorations went up for the GF over nite on monday/tuesday November 14/15. When we moved to the WL on the 16th it was done. On the 17th, we did a resort tour and the CR/POR/YC/BC/BWI were done

We often visit for a couple of days during the week prior to Thanksgiving week. Usually the GF gingerbread house is up and running sometime that week. Remember that Thanksgiving is late this year --- November 28. So you're talking about being there two weeks before everything is ready on the 29th.

Due to Mickey's Very Merry Chrstmas Party on various dates in November, MK will be mostly finished. I say "mostly" because in recent years the big tree hasn't been placed until the Christmas Parade taping occurs in early December.

The week before Thanksgiving week, we've often seen other resorts and parks with their decorations completed. But, as others have posted, there's no set schedule that you'll be able to know. Just that everything will be done by November 29.

They start putting the first decorations up the night after Halloween and it usually takes until the Saturday of Thanksgiving to get it done. Last year we were there October 30th - November 8th and the decorations were just starting to appear at the resorts when we left.
