resort confirmation

How long before arrival should I call and confirm resort & ADR reservations and also mention DD birthday? Also should I mention the b-day at the resort when I call or when I arrive ?

Thought I read it somewhere but tooooooo much info for my tiny brain.

You can mention the birthday now. And when you check in. But be aware that Disney doesn't always do every single thing for a birthday that you have probably read about on here. Please don't get your hopes up that it will be the most fantastic thing. If special things happen, they happen. If not, please don't be disappointed.

I usually call maybe a week before I go to confirm my resort reservation if I have any requests made. I never call to confirm my dining reservations.

I DO call and confirm dining reservations at some point before I go. I do this because one year I made ressies for HDDR and when I got there they said the ressie # I gave them was not a valid # and as they were booked up we couldn't get a seat. It was the last night of our stay so we were out of luck. When I got home the next day I called the dining ressie # and asked to speak with a supervisor and told him my story. He looked the info up and said it showed that we did go to HDDR. I'm not sure what exactly took place here. You can also have the concierge desk at your resort print you out a list of your confirmed ressie's when you check in although it may be to late at that point to fix a problem. So I don't think it hurts to confirm things at least once before leaving. Beyond that-there isn't much more you can do.

When it comes to your Resort reservation as long as you have a printed confirmation you should be ok there and don't need to call and confirm it. Besides if your registered on the Disney World website you should be able to look up your reservation online, if you ever wanted to make sure it was ok.
