Resort closures?

Anyone hear anything about possible resort closures due to the economy etc.?

I'd be surprised if they close any of the resorts.

I seriously doubt it. I mean they are building 3 new DVC resorts right now and there is Rumor about finishing the other half of Pop. Why would they continue to build other resorts if they are going to close existing ones?

Rumor is they may close one value and one moderate until the economy picks up. This was done after 9/11.

I would be alright with Disney making this move. The question is: which moderate resort and which value?

I would guess POFQ and Allstar Sports

Allstar Sports and Music were both recently refurbished, so I doubt it would be either of these.

If they close POFQ - I may skip WDW until they reopen it. We love that place!

I think it will be one of the PORs and Pop. Pop is the only one that is separate and they can't economize because of that unlike the All Stars which can and do share everything form buses to staff. I might be wrong on the POR because I don't know the set up, but I am quite sure about Pop.

It's funny because the reason I stay at Pop is the separate bus line-be honestly if it wasn't available-I'd stay at the other values.

I think it will probably be one of the Allstars because they still have the other 2 allstars and POP in the value category.
It is probably be ASmovies because sports and music were recently refurbished.
