We are booked 2 connecting preferred rooms for the week of July 1 at ASMo. We have 4 kids: 12, 10, 4 and 17 months.

We moved our trip back 3 weeks from our original plans and it has opened up new possibilites. I'm booked on a PIN code.

I swear I don't think the guy was quoting the right price, but he assured me he was.

Here are the options:

FW Cabins: $500 cheaper!?
CR: $72 more
Poly: $289 more

It seems the cabins would be a no-brainer, right?

WWYD? Keeping in mind that CR would mean only 1 room, FW means I get a kitchen, ASMo means we can have a little more separation from each other at the end of the day...etc. I also feel that ASMo have the best "Disney" feel to it...and think that the 4 yo will be in awe.

We stayed with 5 of us in 1 room at POP last time...and we did feel a little like we couldn't escape each other by the end of the week. We've only stayed at value resorts before, so any input and advice is much appreciated!!

It's between Poly or ASMovies for me. Your 4 yr old will definitely be in aw. I took my children there when they were 2 and 4, and then the following year. We can't get enough of being there at Andy's room. We were on the 3rd floor facing the court. The atmosphere is definitely shouting Disney! My kids are a lot older now (except my 5 yr old who hasn't been to Disney yet, but will next year.) and they don't mind staying there again. I can stay there again and again.

We love Poly too! The simple fact that it is a beautiful resort. The room is definitely a lot bigger! We like taking the boat/monorail to MK. It's faster and easier than taking the bus. The children and I enjoyed the pool and the beach. We enjoyed watching the fireworks from the beach and the nightly water parade that comes across the bay lake.

Either resort you choose, your family will have a blast!

hey would go with the best deal for you - FW. love the cabins - it is definitely not your normal Disney stay.

you are talking about All star movie and not the art of amination right?

do you have tickets included? - if you do - would ask about tickets for the others.

How often do you go to WDW? Something to consider is that your youngest will likely be bumping your family up to 6 by the next time you go, making the Poly a fun thing to do now while you still have the option. For return trips with a family of 6, ASMu and FW are still options, but the Poly isn't.
If you won't be making any return trips in the next few years, then just go with what you think would be most fun for your kids.

I called back...and although I asked more than once on the call, the guy was quoting room only price. He kept saying it was all the same with tickets.
So frustrating.

We will stick with the ASMo...it's by far the best deal.

Thanks for the input!

That stinks, but you will still love ASMo!

Same thing happened to my friend this week... the guy didn't pay attention to the fact that her price included airfare. Frustrating!

Loved the advice of thinking about the fact that our next trip means we would be counted as 6...so that got me thinking with a different view.

I called back and got accurate pricing for several different resorts that my PIN code can be used for.

Coronado Springs: 2 connecting rooms
or
Contemporary Garden Wing: 1 standard room.

BC, BW and YC were all offered as well, but since the rooms are a little smaller than CR, and we'd all be in one room...we ruled those out.

I like the fact that staying at CR, we can walk out to watch the fireworks at MK and just walk right back into our room.

I also like the fact of having 2 bathrooms!

DH and oldest DS are rooting for CSR....I'm just not sold yet, and don't really know why!:confused3

The upgrades are $320-470 difference from our current 2 room value resort booking.

Any and all advice greatly appreciated!

Have you looked into renting DVC points? I'm asking you this because it was never an option for me to consider until today. Art of Animation, or 2 rooms at POFQ, was around $4,000 for our December stay, with plus dining and 7 day base tickets. For the same exact money, you're able to get a 1BR villa, right next to Epcot, Deluxe etc etc.

All I'm saying is that for the price of a newer value, we are able to go Deluxe. Definitely look at this as an option!

I did look into renting points. It seems that it's more expensive. I do have a 30% PIN code...and our total package with 5 day base tickets for the 2 rooms at ASMo is only $2848. I didn't see much to rent for that price that would hold all of us...and if so, it was this price without the tickets.

Currently we are torn between staying at ASMo or upgrading to CSR.

Most of us agreed that we would rather have 2 rooms ultimately. Although...I think about the fact that we won't have the possibility to get a 1 room again on a future trip, and maybe we should take advantage of that and stay in a resort that we can afford to upgrade to.
