Good Morning everyone,

So i am looking for some advice on a upcoming trip that I am planning. I am planning a trip for my family and I am paying for the rooms and tickets and I am wanting to surprise my family by having things set up in the rooms but I just talked to Disney and they said that each person has to be there at check in. So that option is out of the question so I want to give my daughters and their families a gift basket and some room surprises how can i go about doing this ?? I will be in Florida the night before they all arrive Thanks for any information and advice

In today's current situation Disney Flowers and Gifts is unavailable and no other services are allow to access the guest rooms. You might order online and have some things delivered to you at the hotel. Or stop before you arrive at the resort to purchase anything you want for the room(s).

This not currently no longer true since you don't even have to stop at the Front desk for check-in. That was really only tied to the Dining Plan which is also not available.

Since you are paying for all the room(s) you just need to check-in early and hope you get the room assignment(s) before everyone arrives. Just setup your online check-in up with an early arrival time since you will be close by.

When I wanted to surprise my daughter with some Disney toys/dolls, I had the stuff in a carry on, had my husband walk her around the lobby while I ran to the room real quick “to see if it was ready” Set the stuff up then ran back to get her.

We did something like this. DH entertained the kids (got them something to eat, too them to the gift shop) while I went to the room to set up the surprise. The surprise: The Disney Princesses left my girls a gift! A princess dress, accessories and ear hats.

I think OP’s daughters are adults with families of their own. Presumably in separate rooms from the OP.

OP - can you enlist the help of someone else in their rooms, who might allow you to use an MB to slip in and drop off a gift basket?

Yeah, I was going to ask the room makeup here. Multiple rooms may make access tricky without some extra thought on timing, access, etc.

While OP might be able to check into all the rooms on the app, I doubt they would be able to unlock rooms that they weren't assigned to stay in. I imagine it's possible, but it would probably require some flexibility from the front desk that also might not be possible given the current COVID protocols.

If you book a multiple room reservation in which all the rooms are under one reservation number, then your MagicBand should open all the resort room doors. That was how it worked when I booked a multiple room reservation a couple of years ago. You have to call reservations to do this. You can't make reservations online for a multiple room reservation. I had booked two rooms under one reservation number and all the MagicBands worked for both rooms. All the MagicBands were mailed to me, too. :)

If the OP isn't on the reservations, she won't be able to access the rooms, regardless of the fact that she paid for them. They have never put items in the rooms before the guest checked into the room since their room number could change before they get to the room.
