Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Actually I say the Beach Club is closer to the Boardwalk, although that depends on how you look at it. For example when I have walked from the Boardwalk to the Beach Club I always went past the Boardwalk Bakery, ESPN Club and entrance to the International Gateway, then the next resort I would see is the Beach Club. Going back to the Boardwalk I would go the exact same way because the other direction would take me past the Yacht Club.

Now I guess you can say the Yacht Club is closer although that's true if you were to walk there towards the sign that says how to find the Swan/Dolphin, because when going to the Boardwalk that way you will first see Atlantic Dance, Jellyrolls and start walking along side the Boardwalk Villas rooms and it's stores. Plus if I wanted to walk from the Boardwalk to the Yacht Club I would go in the opposite direction past their stores, Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance.
Am I the only one who feels like I just got off the tea cups after reading that?:rotfl:

I guess I meant to say it's closer "as the crow flies."

Maybe I should have said the Beach Club is closer to the Boardwalk Inn side of rooms and the Yacht Club is closer to the Boardwalk Villas side of roms.

Minnie&Nana and WDWKOOK I am better, but not 100%. Holding in fluids, and Immodium AD is my new BFF. Nausea still there so no food for me. This is NOT the way I wanted to lose weight :lmao: Want coffee, can't do it yet:confused3 Kids had it for only a day. My DD had Kindergarten orientation today, I am so proud of her:love: She didn't want to go, but she had a lot of fun:cheer2: Not too sick to Disney plan though:goodvibes

Today's 2012 plan-Nov 11th to 17th. May not hit all the decorations, but we can go to the XMas party. Resort choice (had help from DS,CR or BLT/BWV, AoA/Poly*Princess Suite, WL/BWV) Yeah I know not really narrowed down AT ALL. I'd like to do a split stay MK/Epcot. I know....no GF, but I kinda don't want to be there if it's crowded:confused3

KOOK & I are thinking along the same lines - what about some pedialyte for adults or Gatorade or chicken stock? Personally, any of those would make me nauseous, but it seems to work for others. Do try to take it easy - know it's easier said than done with munchkins.

Is it an early Kindergarten orientation or is it for an all year school? You probably already explained, but I get lost trying to keep up! :guilty:

Nope you haven't really narrowed the resorts down ;), but those are some great starters! I don't like staying at GF during the holidays b/c the lobby is so crowded with visitors. Poly hardly gets any Christmas visitors, but I really like being near EPCOT during a December stay.

I will be there just a few weeks after you and I'm all over the place. If I could just book something now - a pkg with min deposit requirements, I'd feel so much better, then I could watch for codes etc and have lots of excuses to make changes. :teeth: Yesterday my friend asked why we don't just stay at POP (her home resort, Poly is my home resort :))...POP for my 65th celebration!?!? NO WAY!! I want my friend to experience another resort, but it must be a great resort so it's worth it for her. We do have a tight budget for this trip....which is why booking waaay in advance works so well - I can pay pay pay! Although - have never done that before. is it irrational to fear Disney might misplace all my $$ and say they cannot find the payments? Especially with resort changes?

Can you take in some electrolytes - Gatorade or chicken stock? When this is all over you need a trip to Starbucks for a Venti something!

Will DD's kindergarten be full-day? Is she your youngest? Does she feel better about it now that she went to orientation?

It really seems like a split stay is in your future for '12. Well, that's what my crystal ball says.

This is Baby #4 :goodvibes She will be in full day Kindergarten, but she hasn't been to preschool. I hog all the time I can with them. She is so excited, she loves the bus, she loves music, she loves the Principal (who already knows her because we are there to pick up/drop off Big bro and sis) It's a nice school, a very family friendly bunch of teachers and parents. 2012-13 my DD, now 4, will go there, and 2013-2014 DS2 The last of the pack will attend. I keep telling her we have to go on vacation first, then it's time for school:rotfl:

Split stay I think too ;) I'm also looking at Swan or Dolphin for the first few days-I get a nurse discount. I have to keep researching.

I am doing Sprite and Ginger Ale. DH bought Gatorade, BLAH. I am a bad patient:lmao: It's an early orientation, she has 2 more days, next week and the week after. And I'm watching your planning for your Wild nana trip, I am stealing ideas:rotfl:

Probably toward those turkey legs at the MK:laughing:

Oh, yuck!! Can you just see the mess!!

Not a fan of those turkey legs - years ago, while on vacation with my teen kids, I met up with an acquaintance from home at the Golden Horseshoe for the show and she went out for a turkey leg - I will never forget seeing, out of my peripheral vision, the grease from the leg running down her arm. :crazy2:

Sounds like a GREAT school! My kids attended a very small Catholic School in Cambridge (MA) - 11 to 13 kids per class. It was such a wonderful school. The both chose a Catholic HS where the graduating class had 42 kids!

Split stay I think too ;) I'm also looking at Swan or Dolphin for the first few days-I get a nurse discount. I have to keep researching.

Sure miss those discounts now that I'm no longer teaching or After School Director. :(

Glad to hear you're drinking something - I can only do Sprite and Ginger Ale - not fond of either, but better than Gatorade. Yuck. The surgery prep last Fall had to be mixed with Gatorade...I added loads of ice and sipped it for hours.:rotfl: blech.

Watching my planning will be boring b/c I can't book anything yet!! My plan was to watch your plans!! :cool1:

Thanks ladies. Lilyana is a little cranky but not too bad. I had to reschedule yesterday's appointment for today because it was raining so bad. It was like one of those flash storms in Florida, except it lasted all day. I really hate this time of year in NYC.

pas130 I hope you're feeling better. Try to get some rest and stay hydrated. When I have a sick tummy I can only drink ice cold Coke. Anything else makes me vomit, especially ginger ale.

pas130 - Hope you start feeling better soon! :goodvibes Nothing worse than a stomach bug IMO.

Maybe I should have said the Beach Club is closer to the Boardwalk Inn side of rooms and the Yacht Club is closer to the Boardwalk Villas side of rooms.

That's a lot better. :rotfl2: The first one had me shaking my head going "Whaa?"

They don't usually, as long as you don't switch too many times, and don't go up and down in price a lot. I had my ressie zapped that way once when the incorrect amount was applied to my ressie and they canceled it. :headache:

It sounds like she's already looking forward to it, which is great. I love orientations, gets the kids excited and ready for the next step up. :thumbsup2 DS10 just had his Middle School orientation last week, and now he's excited to go. :)

Glad she isn't too cranky. :) Are you ready for your trip yet? ;)

Changes to Disney's online dining booking system
5/17/11: Disney's online dining reservation system will no longer permit guests to book more than one reservation during the same timeframe. If guests try to book more than one reservation for the same time, they will get a message reminding them of the existing reservation. If they wish to confirm the new reservation, the previous reservation must be canceled.

So no more booking two ressies to see which one you will keep. :guilty:

But I'm already thinking that the work around will be to change the dates up a little bit and maybe that way you can get around this new rule.

:rotfl: Do BWV have Grand Villas? Then you guys can stay with us;) We can always use some more Nanas:thumbsup2

So far a clear day:cool1: So sick of rain, the parking lot at work looks like a pond. Rain, rain, go away. Glad the Princess is a little better:hug:

Coffee:surfweb: I am drinking coffee:worship: I took Immodium first just in case but my nausea is gone:cheer2:

My DS 10 starts a new school next year too:goodvibes It's not yet middle school. But its for 5th and 6th graders. They have lockers and change classes:scared1: He's not too excited since school starts at 730am:confused3 Why can't they have HS start early like that??? Bus issue I'm told. How's Stinky doing? Still hanging with mom all day?

Quiet in here today....:surfweb: I'm sure everyone's busy. Just wanted to wish everyone a happy weekend, I wanted to call out of work tomorrow since it may be the end of the world...but DH said I should go:confused3 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Wishing everyone is doing well:cutie:

disneydreamin247 Enjoy your last couple of days before you have to go back to work. Hope you and the princess are well:goodvibes

I'm here:wave:

Oh yes, the rapture is tomorrow! I need to make sure I go to Krispy Kreme before the end of the world and follow it up with a stop at Sonic. Why did I bother running 5.5 miles today?

How are you feeling today, pas130? I'm worried that you'll go back to work and catch something, but I guess that's always a risk in your line of work. I bet you've got me beat on the hand sanitizer usage.

It finally stopped raining here today so I could mow. DH asked me this morning if there were any resort changes I had in mind, other than the crazy thought I had last week of staying in a Treehouse Villa with 3 bedrooms:rotfl:. I told him not to worry, the thought hasn't even entered my mind. I am thinking though that I need to make some SOG overflow Christmas reservations soon. But we want to book CL and I thought I recall that SOG won't book CL, so that could throw a wrench in my plans.

I hope everyone is well or at least feeling better:grouphug:

Hello fellow tweakers :wave2: I'm still undecided on my last 2 nights in my November trip, it's driving me crazy :crazy2:

First 6 nights are still (and I haven't changed them at all, quite impressed by that lol) BC CL, last 2 nights are currently Waldorf Astoria, but I'm seriously considering just booking the last 2 nights onto my existing BC CL booking as I love Epcot so much, then again friends are trying to get me to stay at the AKL CL to join them but I'm just not feeling that one :confused3

Happy Saturday, RC'ers!!! :goodvibes

What time is the rapture supposed to happen today??? I'm still here and waiting for some excitment!!!! :dance3:

pas130 & DisneyDreamin247, hope you are feeling wonderful - not good to come to the end of the world feeling under the weather.:thumbsup2

pas130 -:rotfl: no idea if WWV has Grand Villas, but rest assured while your invitation is ever so kind and generous, I'd never put your family through the celebration we are planning!!!! :rotfl2:

Hoping everyone is feeling pretty good today!

(would anyone believe we are now considering the new Animation Resort?? Someone PLEASE slap me!!!!! :crazy2:)

If it were me I would probally just extend my stay at BC but AKL is so beautiful and can be very relaxing so I might join my friends if I were you also

The Rapture is not until 6pm so there is plenty of time to change your resort or shift a few ADRs around before the earth starts a shaken' :rotfl:

I can believe you are considering the AOA, the thought has crossed my mind although DH has said he would never stay at a value but there is just something kewl about staying at a brand new resort, We stayed at CSR on opening day and loved being some of the first guests :goodvibes

I think Art of Animation sounds like so much fun! It's on my list as well. We made it through the end of the world, which is good because I was so busy at work I wouldn't have noticed:rotfl:

I was looking at the Waldorf, and it looks lovely. I think some luxury would be great at the end of your vacation:love:

My DH was saying in the paper that WDW was busy because a lot of people squeezed a trip in just in case.....DH wouldn't even let me call out of work:lmao:

My yuckies are all gone. It has definitely spread amongst my coworkers. Kids are better, now it's just the tree pollen:mad: And this rain......:headache:
