Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

I would never have the ernergy to work out on a disney trip! I just about manage to crawl into bed at the end of the day!

Do all the CSR rooms have queens now?

The UK sit still gies you the option of twin room, or a queen room...

Hmmm, according to Buzz who has the CSR thread, all the rooms have been upgraded to 2 queens other than the rooms that have a king. I sure hope this is the case, but if we stick with CSR, I'll be calling to make sure.

I know it's wishful thinking that I'll actually use the gym, but I'm on a health kick right now, so who knows?!

Cool, thanks for the fast response.

Good for you if you do work out! I just push myself too hard trying to get as much disney as I can each day i think. Always really ache at the end! I wore my pedometor around disneyland paaris in the summer and we walked over 20 miles each day! My feet sure knew about it!

Well, I'm trying VERY hard to get back down to 130lbs before our trip in March. I've got 16 lbs to go, but unfortunately for me, school starts tomorrow and I'm back in stress mode.

I'm in nursing school and managed to put on 12 lbs in 7 weeks during my last class! ACK!

I'm hoping the stress during this class won't hinder my weight loss.

Wow! I am in awe of you guys and I AM JEALOUS! No more switching is going to kill me - I just know it! :lmao:

So now I am stuck (still) with AKV in March for DH's first trip and with SSR in August. I am trying like heck to get a good reason (any reason!) to rebook the Poly but can't come up with one. I WANT MY POLY BACK!!!!! :sad1:

:goodvibes kaffinito you have so many DVC trips to look forward to!! :cloud9: Not to mention being a guiding light and mentor (enabler) here:rotfl2:

Hi :wave2:

Last year we booked GF...checked daily for CR (was booked since Jan) finally when AP rates came out, not only did I change to POR I changed to the week earlier :scared: Never stayed at Mods before :scared1:
I still checked daily for an opening at CR..no luck :sad2:
After two days on trip I had to leave on family emergency...returned the next week for stay at Sports..:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Really nervous since never stayed at Values before and was pleasantly surprised by the bus service.
Now booked for Poly for upcoming trip but not feeling content..the MK view seems so far and the walk to the monorail from the MK rooms is so far.. not sure if I want to rebook at CR again (which is avail this year) or possibly move to GF?? :confused3
Maybe I want to try POR again since it was so pretty there :lmao:
What about WL?? It would be perfect if only it had a monorail and MK view :rotfl2: :rotfl:

So I think I'm back to wanting to stay at POFQ instead of CSR!

I should never have gone on tripadvisor!

I think I just figured something out, and that is our disney "decisions" (or at least mine) are based on my emotional state at the time, rather than just making a business decision. It's the buying the "benefits" verses just buying the attributes. It's the intangibles verses the tangibles. Which is why we "Resort Changers" keep changing our minds or cant decide! Dr. Phil, move over, there's a new analyst in town :rotfl: ! Now, off to check on the status of GF for our week:scared1: ! 10 day countdown!

Well, WL does have the boat to MK, so it's almost like the monorail:thumbsup2 . And what about CR, since you really wanted to stay there last year? Personally my eye is on GF, but we are booked at the Poly. You might also look at the Yacht Club, you can walk to EP and then use the TTC to get to MK. So many choices:rolleyes1 ! Have fun with your planning!

You're totally right!!

Like my dilemma between POFQ & CSR. I know both will be nice, but as they are soo different, size and theme wise, it does relly depend what mood I'm in as to which appeals more to me.

The boat is awesome..but no MK view (the only major downfall)...The price is right, though :rotfl:
The Poly seems so much more relaxing than the CR because I don't have to look out over a parking lot to see the MK..not to mention that I "think" I'm bored with the CR <Gasp>

Hmmmm..my perfect resort?? The MK view from the Poly, but with the CR distance, monorail to all parks and the price of the Wilderness lodge!!! :rolleyes1 :lmao: :wizard:

Well, geez louise all you resort changers and enablers!

Welcome tiellady!!! Where have you been hiding?! lol
I am away from the DIS for a weekend and look at you all! LOL
Was able to read some stuff on my Blackberry but still cant type with my thumbs! lol

We leave this week for San Francisco..Monterey..(one of the reasons the "girls" trip in Feb got postponed..all those changes for naught! lol)

SO what is new.....

DDD..Poly, yay for you!!! So exciting when that resort becomes available!!!

stepdisney..what is your current status?! Funny how we always bump into each other here....I remember the old days.....lol

Singinglizzie......only 10 days! You can do it! You will love Poly:)

torsie...you are fitting right in! lol I do love the boat over to MK from WL:) Just remember, you get all kinds on Tripadvisor......the true Disney folk are found here on the DIS:)lol

So I will not have any resort challenges til the end of Feb when I call DVC to book my DVC portion of my stay for Sept! Will try to stick close to Epcot..although BCV always is booked up...or will I try for AKL CL? I feel a theme coming on for this trip....lol

Torsie, we have stayed at POFQ (once, never again) and I thought I'd chime in and say that they do not have an onsite table service restaurant, you have to walk or take the boat over to Boatwrights at POR if you want TS, whereas CS does have TS and also now club level if you desire. Also, POFQ still has full sized beds whereas CS now has new queen beds. Just a few things to keep in mind. We have not stayed at CS, but I have a friend that books physician conferences there frequently and says that it's pretty nice.

Thanks for the input Robin. :)

All opinions are greatly recieved!! :goodvibes:

Hey Disneybride03 - does this mean you are "resort challenged":rotfl: ? Now, I'm gonna have to steal that one and add it to my ever changing "imaginary" tag - Resort challenged and suffering from Poly!nesia - ha ha. :sad2:

Nines days to go - oh and that darn MK view at GF is showing up again:scared1: My 13 you son keeps saying Mom give it up - funny how sayings change - when I was in college giving it up meant something completely differen :lmao: ! Guess I'm getting old - but I can still count to 9!!!!!!:cheer2:

This thread is perfect for me! lol. We started out with a May trip at the Grand Floridian - Garden View with the 7/4 deal. Then we got a 40% off code, so we switched our trip to late Nov/early Dec at the Contemporary - MK View. Yesterday I got to thinking about the parking lot/concrete associated with the MK View at the CR, so I called and switched to the Grand Floridian - MK View. Then I started thinking about club level (not available at the GF), so I'm considering switching to the Polynesian - Club Level.

I'm sure they have our account flagged as the crazy woman who keeps calling and poor DH just nods when I inform him of my latest change! :)

I'm right there with you...we can get Poly club level for either 600-800 more but if I go back to the CR club level would only cost me $300.00....hmmmmmmmmmmmm....decisions, decisions!!!:headache: :headache:
I really would love club level...give me my nightly wine and fireworks and I am a happy mommy :woohoo:
Now for a realistic moment in my life... "Save the money, bring my own bottle of wine :drinking: and watch the fireworks from my balcony or a hammock" :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Humm, that sounds suspiciously familiar! :goodvibes
