Resort Changers--The Saga Continues.....

Sign me up for the dis-ease!!! I, too, am addicted to changing resorts....sigh...

I started out at the Poly for my 3 kids and I in May. My sister decided to bring her entire clan and she chose POP. I changed over to POP to be with all of them. I didn't want to do that so I changed to BC - who cares if we are all 2gether? I mean geesh!!! Well my sister cares but so what!! LOL!!

Then my dh decided to come with us. I changed back to POP with 2 rooms. Then last night I looked at all of my ADR's and they are all around the MK. I called to remove my DH from my ressie cuz he can't get the days off like he thought he could so I was gonna switch to the GF but they had me on hold 4-ever so I hung up and called back awhile later and right now I am staying at......
Pop.
Still. I am pretty sure that I am gonna change my mind though and move even though my sister will be mad at me. I just want to stay close to the MK. I can't justify taking a bus and transferring to here and there. Sounds like a pain. POP is nice and all but I want more.... heavy sigh.....

By the way, I've been hanging out on the BC/YC thread, sniffing around for clues as to whether or not I should switch. I think I'm going to switch tomorrow. Ughhhhh. As soon as I say I'm going to switch, I keep thinking about the deal that I have now.... Deal vs. what I REALLY want which is to stay Epcot. Someone PLEASE tell me that BCV are not going anywhere and that the deal I have is a once-in-a-life-time thing (double discount). HELP!!!! I'm REALLY about to change to BCV unless SOMEONE stops me. (I just read that buses to MK are now just BC/YC so no more round robin to 5 different resorts.

I've been checking online every day for the Poly to open up for our dates (Mar 23-30) & you know how they pop up w/ alternate offers when what you've requested is not available? Well GF IS available! Ahh the irony.

Please humor me, thinking as I type...so we were booked CBR for $1400 then switched to WL for $2300 then this would be $3300! How can I justify that. I really can't, although DH said, do what you want, it's so much more money. ETA: it IS a theme park view!!!

Thank goodness, the TPV room I had been eyeing has been snatched up by someone else. My kids are really excited about the Poly and don't really want to switch, but as for me its sooo tempting to just think about switching! Sooo many resorts so little time!
OT, I found out from Disneybride03 that the tag fairies are for real! Didn't know, but now I BELIEVE!!!!

Hey everbody, had to catch up with all my "kindred" spirits! DearDaisyinDurham, too funny. I have the Poly and everyday I've been checking for the GF! Thank goodness, the TPV room I had been eyeing has been snatched up by someone else. My kids are really excited about the Poly and don't really want to switch, but as for me its sooo tempting to just think about switching! Sooo many resorts so little time!
OT, I found out from Disneybride03 that the tag fairies are for real! Didn't know, but now I BELIEVE!!!!

Can I just say, you will LOVE the poly!! It's a for sure thing. and for me, I am resisting GF TPV b/c I want Poly! Staying strong, still at WL for now (b/c Poly is not avail )

Had to check the WDW site one more time , ok I confess its a daily ritual. Why do I do this? I don't know, I guess I just love knowing all the possibilities . Anyhow, all my "choices" have dried up and now there are only a few open resorts for our dates. OK, I probablly wouldn't switch (ha ha or would I)? Aren't we in a recession and isn't January the slow season - what gives? 12 Day Count down!!!!

I remember trying for AKL and being booked at WL. I ended up keeping WL (AKL never opened up) and was very happy that I was able to stay at WL. I really don't think that you'll be disappointed. I know how you feel about wanting the resort to become available. It is somehow easier to not choose the resort for your own reasons than it is for the resort to be counted out because there is nothing available. It is really a part of the resort changers code. You have to NOT choose the resort, the resort cannot NOT let you choose it (do I sound crazy??? only to those who are NOT resort changaholics!!!) Our mantra.....Breath in....Breath out.... accept the reservations I cannot change...NOT...

So, let me get this straight, you were checked in at WL and called to see if AKL was available! Wow, I'm impressed ! And you're right about the resort needing to not choose you (I think you said something like that), but you have to forgive me since I still have Poly!nesia! Wait does that mean I didn't choose the resort, the resort chose me???? Woo hoo 12 days!!!

Yup. I had been calling AKL every day for months and when I checked into WL, I called AKL.....just once though..... I loved WL by the way.

Actually, the resort allowed YOU to choose IT..... .

I'm going to have 3 WDW trips coming up in the next 2 years, so you all better be prepared for some resort changing like you havent experienced at all!!

My better half gets soooooo annoyed at me!!

I was bad when i only had tripadvisor to go by, but since i discovered the DIS it's like a whole new level!

My new travel docs came today! Pinch me, they say Poly, Club. lagoon! I guess the resort is allowing me to to choose it! Now who was it that wanted to stay GF, , POLY here we come. 45 more minutes and it will be 11 days to go, but who's counting !

I admit it. I have a problem! Since I originally made reservations, I have changed 3 times. And even worse, I only made reservations last month!

We originally were going to stay at BCR, but then I changed to Pop to save money. But then I decided to upgrade to a mod and wanted to stay in the new pirate room at CBR. Then DH remembered he REALLY wanted to stay at CSR, so now we're booked there.

And of course, I still would rather stay at BCR, but now the pirate rooms aren't available, so unless something opens up in the next 2 weeks, we'll be sticking with CSR.

Yeesh, and I thought I was addicted to facebook and sweet tea. I never realized I had such a Disney problem...

Welcome to the club! Maybe you'll get lucky and get one of the new rooms at CSR (make sure to add to your request that you would like one of the new redecorated rooms) plus they have the new queens bed, so it should be fine! We had booked there, but then would up switching to the Poly. I won't even say how many times we switched. Still eyeing GF for our trip, now a 1 bedrooms suite has opened up - well a gal can dream right !!! Iknow I said I would stop checking, but I can't help myself .

The only reason I'm not rushing to switch from CSR now is due to the queen beds and the pool. The kids think the pool is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Plus I'm trying to convince myself that I'll work out while I'm there since I'll have access to a gym.

I would never have the ernergy to work out on a disney trip! I just about manage to crawl into bed at the end of the day!

Do all the CSR rooms have queens now?

The UK sit still gies you the option of twin room, or a queen room...
