This was posted in the Rumors Board by a very trusted poster. I don’t get a very good feeling about it. Sounds like a lot of people are going to be upset about some things.

So basically every category of resort guest plus AP will be upset about something. Well, that’s true even without any updates. In fact it’s true simply because of no updates.

Well, there was no mention of Deluxe guests being upset, but I have a feeling that any GF or YC guests being displaced by the NBA are not going to be happy.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that there are a lot of unhappy guests who, under normal circumstances, would have been eagerly looking forward to their upcoming stay instead of dreading the next announcement by Disney.

Supposed to check in GDT-CL July 25th. This morning, I booked a back up stay at SoG, just in case. But they have a 30 day cancellation policy. Hopefully soon means in the next few days.

Gah! I am trying so hard to stay positive and not worry about this but my patience is waining! I'm an end of July trip. I cant even imagine if I was at the beginning of July (bless you all). I am super flexible (I'm a teacher). We just want to go! But again being a teacher I need to keep my dates and price point. Put me wherever you want just don't cancel or charge me more. Please Disney!!!!!!

I know recently they were handling reservations up to July 11th but has anyone heard what they maybe up to now? We have a stay CBR 7/5-7/14. Have not heard anything yet from Disney, no email.

I see they are showing the prices on the resorts on the Disney site. Although when you click on check availability for certain room categories there is nothing available.

Well, we're talking new and improved upset. Deluxe guests have already been showered with disappointing details. Maybe they think we've had our share. Who am I kidding? There's always room for more!

Yes (all resorts). I am almost certain it is a glitch/means nothing.

OK, just talked to a CM and (take this with the normal grain of phone CM salt) she said Disney will likely start modifying reservations through the end of July on Monday and August reservations the week after that. I guess we shall see...

ETA: I needed to add someone to my reservation but cannot yet, but I also took it to mean that they're going to continue what they've been doing with moving people to open resorts at that time as well.

Modifying because? The booked resort won`t open? Or the system will be open to modify reservations as normally would be?

Sorry, this was in the context of me modifying my reservation because I need to add someone to it. I took it as also speaking to the whole "Are you still coming, we may need to move you if your resort isn't open" thing they've been doing.

Yes but no availability. They only show the price on the first page.

I just called to see what they would say. She told me it would probably be a week or two(!!!) before they got to my July 19 reservation and that my resort (FQ ) would be closed and so I would have to move to a DVC or a cabin. I specifically asked if this would be a free move and she said I'd have to pay the difference. I just feel like they have been dragging us along with no info for way too long. My husband has been pushing for us to just cancel and do Universal (which has the express pass at their nice resorts plus buy 2 days, get 4) and I guess I am at that point too!

I'm being super assuming, but I feel like that could be part of Disney's strategy right now. If the guest cancels, ESPECIALLY IN JULY, then they won't need to be given a free upgrade and it possibly assists Disney with keeping projected numbers down in the parks. This became a big guess on my park especially because they haven't even confirmed park reservations for people who will be arriving in time for the MK & AK openings- many of whom might be arriving in 3 weeks.
