Resort Card that states "DVC Member"

When staying at a WDW Resort on a cash basis can I recieve a resort card that states I am a "DVC Member"? This would seem to allow me to cut down on the carrying of cards around WDW. Plus some benifits seem to indicate that I can use them just by staying in WDW even if not in a DVC facility.

hi: i think your card will only say "DVC Member" if you are staying on points. we've only stayed once on cash so i'm not sure, but our cards didn't say anything about dvc.

As noted, your ID cards will not say DVC member if you are staying on cash. The only benefits that will apply are the discounts such as at restaurant along with the free Valet parking at DVC resorts that have valet. No PH, fitness centers, etc.
