We always rent a car anyway - BUT....

WE are going late to MGM one day for fantasmic dinner at 4:10. I am thinking that parking at that time will mean we are parking our rental car at the opposite side of the planet. SO... I think we probably ought to take the bus.

Do the Resorts have their own buses? WE stayed at the DTD hotels once and those buses went to each hotel before hitting the ticket and transportation center - was a pain in the wazoo. But the resort buses like at the contemporary - are they direct "non stop" flights or do they stop everywhere also?

I assume you are staying on-site; in that case a bus to a park (if a bus is needed) usually comes to the resort's bus stop right near its front entrance every 15 to 20 minutes; it will be a different bus for each park and each is on a 15 to 20 minute schedule although during rush times they may show up more often. It may stop at another resort and may not depending on resort and route but you can assume it is likely about a 20 to 25 minute trip once you are on the bus. Note busses are not needed for some routes, e.g., MK monorail resorts (Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Contemporary) have monorail to MK and Epcot and you can walk from the Contemporary to MK; Epcot resorts (BoardWalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club and Swan/Dolphin) have boat to MGM or Epcot but you can also easily walk to either.

Note, if what you are familiar with is off-site bussing, then you will be very pleased with on-site bussing. Note also that busses to parks go directly to a park's front entrance area and, in fact, there are no on-site resort busses that go to the TTC.

Cool Thank you

yes we are satying at the contemporary. We like the CR because we just walk to MK and Monorail to EPcot. I had forgot we can probabluy just walk to MGN from Epcot - I will have out break out a map

thanks again

You can walk from the Studios to Epcot but it is about 25-30 minutes of walking. That is from the International Gateway of Epcot. If you start at the main entrance of Epcot add at least another 10-15 minutes. You can also take the Friendship boats between the two parks. They are a nice ride but quite slow. The boats stop at the Beach/Yacht clubs, Boardwalk, and Swan/Dolphin along the way. It can actually be faster to walk, especially if you just missed a boat.
