Resort Booking for 2 Families

Hi everyone,

I hope I am posting this in the right place. We are going to WDW in Feb with another family for the first time. We are hoping to have our rooms close together and in addition, we will have to link MDE accounts to get our fast passes together. Can someone please point me in the right direction of doing this? Should I book both of our rooms together or can we do it separately and request close rooms? Can I link MDE accounts after the fact? TIA!

You each can book your rooms separately, but add "traveling with" and the other reservation number to each reservation to maybe get them close to each other.

You can also add them as friends in MDE and as long as they accept, you'll be able to make reservations/FP choices for them too.

The other family with us didn't want to do MDE and were happy for me to add their names on to my account. I faxed 5 days out with requests for rooms together which we got
