Trip planned for 1st Oct 2011 for 21 nights

Starting off at Hard Rock Hotel for first 3 nights, then on to WDW.

I have been dreaming/drooling over resorts for ages. Had set my mind on POR, pictures looked idyllic. Then Complete Orlando and then Disney brought out 42% off with free dining. The discount appealled to the inner scrooge in me! I booked with Complete Orlando for Studio at Old Key West with free DDP.

Then I started reading about OKW, Love the idea of a balcony, the mini kitchen and the pool. Don't like the vastness of the resort, bus service sounds to be a hit or a miss and the lack of food court is making me doubt my choice. We loved using our refillable mugs at Pop in 2008.

DH doesn't really care where we stay as long as it's nice, comfortable and has easy access to food.

Reading trip reports, 2Tiggies' got me thinking about POFQ. Then they started doing a refurb, okay by the time we get there it will be 10 months and refurb won't be as fresh, but queen beds :worship: Smaller resort, 2 resort food courts and a choice of 2 resort pools.

How easy is it to make changes to booking? Dates are available, would have to pay for upgrading from QSDP to DDP. DH does like the idea of sitting down for dinner most days, plan on doing a few 2TS locations.

If you had a choice where would you stay, POFQ or OKW?

Going to be using Disney Transport and Mears, no car hire for us, DH canny be bothered driving on holidays!

Any thoughts/opinions are greatly appreciated :goodvibes

I've changed with both DLRP and WDW and never been an issue at all.

But this was direct with Disney.

Give your TA a call and ask them about it, I'm sure if it makes them a bit more money they won't mind one bit! ;)

I agree, I changed my hotel from offsite to onsite a few months back and they were very happy to do it and didn't have any costs. That was with Virgin Holidays. I really wanted to be onsite and choose POFQ due to the facts that you mentioned... smaller resort etc.

Good luck with your decision :goodvibes

With dis uk i know its £25 per change but if the price is more then its nothing to change. Done it twice now. Not sure about CO. Regards resort hv stayed at por pop and OKW and for room size def okw and the balcony. Its a lovely resort. Went over to POFQ and much prefferd it to riverside which is again very spread out. Its a personal choice but i wld prob choose PFQ.:thumbsup2
