Disney contracts with BAGS, Inc. to provide Resort Airline Check-in. The good news is that AirTran is already on the BAGS, Inc. website as participating airline (and AirTran has been there for several months). Unfortunately for AirTran passengers flying to Orlando, AirTran is still not on Disney's list.Scotch said:Does anyone know how to get (petition) an airline added to the participation list? I've been waiting for AirTran to be part of the list ever since this service started and I'm bummed to see it is still not participating.
See post #14 in this thread.gduvall said:What happened to Northwest being a participating airline. I'm flying on Northwest in December and was told when I booked my Disney package, that Northwest was a particating airline.

Those of us who aren't directly involved can only speculate about the reasons for the delay.
You can write the three businesses that are involved Disney, AirTran, and BAGS, Inc. but I don't know how much good it will do. The answer is no until the answer becomes yes.
Yes.crashbb said:Is it possible to use the check-in desk but not DME? I'm still playing around with things, but might have a rental car. Could I check in (flying United) and then drive myself to the airport?
Actually they can. Resort ID is required, and the resort code is printed on the ID.ExPirateShopGirl said:Even if OKW doesn't have RAC, all you need is your ID and resort ID to use the service at any other WDW resort. I don't know what the official Disney line on this is, but the people working the check-in desk can't tell which resort you're in... and the desks are conveniently located out front.

Lewisc said:Guests using RAC can check in up to 12 hours before their flight, I suspect most bags get checked in prior to 11p check out time in the resort. RAC bags are screened in a facility at MCO, not the main terminal, and are stored in a secure area prior to the flight.
