Resort ADR?

Floating through the grapevine that if you have an ADR at resort you’re not staying at, you’re not allowed to park there for your ADR.

That security has been turning people away with their vehicles for parking with a resort ADR due to not having that specific resort stay.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Has policy changed? Just wondering if we need to cancel a specific resort ADR since we are staying at another resort and not staying at the resort with the ADR.

I have personally seen it happen once at the Boardwalk. They barely let in our taxi with proof of an ADR, but any personal vehicles that were not staying at the resort were being directed to another lot off BW property.

I've been (well, the car I was in was) directed to a satellite lot when we had an ADR for Beaches & Cream.

I've heard that the Poly lot is extremely full with the new tower, so it wouldn't surprise me if they're not allowing parking for non-Poly or Tower guests. They have to make as sure as they can that there are spots for the guests staying there - even if the spot is very far away.

Hmm... I have an ADR for 'Ohana at 7:45 on a day MK is scheduled to open at 9 - I'm guessing even on-property transportation won't be running early enough, so I'd planned on an Uber or Lyft. Would the TTC even be open for them to drop me there? Or should I probably just plan on splurging on a Minnie Van to get there? Because I'm guessing Poly is going to be super strict as well.

We've done a lot of resort dining in the past few years, and if we have had an ADR for a meal at the resort, we've not been turned away from parking. They verify the reservation on my MB or app, and point us to where we should park. I guess if parking has become so difficult some times of the year, they might need to turn people away. But I'm sure it's not in the resorts best interest to turn away guests coming in to spend money at the restaurants.

It's for reasons like this that it's important they enforce the actual restrictions at some of the resorts - no parking without a room or dining reservation. The 'gift shop' or 'mobile order' folks should be the first to be turned away if it's busy......

Different resorts being compared regarding parking. BW has a smaller lot than Poly which is also close/connected to the TTC lots.

If you are taking a taxi ride into Poly with an ADR you should be fine at that hour of the day.

We had an adr at GF last week and we were sent to the lot across and down the street a little. We typically eat at GFC every year and this is the first time we’ve been told to go there in over 10 years. Probably depends on how busy the resort is at that time.

There's a chunk of Poly's main lot that is currently closed due to the entrance/parking lot reconfiguration project that recently commenced. ADR parking is allowed as usual but it's not outside the realm of possibility for it to be full at select peak times with guests redirected to park at the TTC. There's no published completion date for that project but it's pretty extensive, involving a new auto entrance and new bus route, so expect that to be going on for many months ahead with occasional unusual parking situations.

Some friends were denied parking at the Poly and told to either park at the TTC or Disney springs when they had a reservation for Ohana. This was during spring break crowds 2023. They ended up missing their reservation because of the extra time it took. Thankfully Disney didn’t charge them when they called and explained what happened.

Our ADR is at Ohana's. Vehicles not staying at Poly/Tower are being turned away - directed to TTC to park and walk over or DS to park and bus over. Might just park at DHS ahead of afterhours and take the bus to Poly for Ohana & then back to DHS for afterhours. Or cancel Ohana's altogether if it's going to be extra effort to get there. I know with the new tower at play; there's no security check-in at the tower parking lot and it's just a scan box in if you're staying in the tower to gain access to that specific parking lot. So, majority of the tower stays are parking at Poly main area which is a given due to the current setup.

Knowing it's under construction too, our best play might be to have dinner elsewhere. Thanks everyone.
ETA: Cancelled Ohana. Truly not worth the parking headache and the extra time.

The Poly lot is very busy right now due to the construction. I saw a YouTube video where they could not find any parking at the new towers, so had to go to the main lot and there were only a few spaces available.
