These tours are open to anyone. They are free and lots of fun.
When we took the WL tour it climaxed on the roof with the greatest view to downtown Orlando to the northeast and Clermont to the northwest! Sigh, they stopped doing the trip to the roof sometime ago but the tour was very informative. Lots of interesting information about the theming the totem poles, the artifacts etc. Try it.
We took a similar tour at the GC in DL and loved it. (We were staying at the DLH at the time.) On that tour we learned all about the program that encouraged California artisits to compete to do the art work for the hotel as well as the background behind the hotel theming. Great tour.
The landscaping tour at OKW was great fun too. We learned a lot about the challenges of gardening at WDW and how and why they plant certain things.
Being a
DVC member has given me the opportunity to go easy and enjoy these types of 'extras' because I am no doing 'Commando Disney" any more!
