Resort Activities on the 4th of July?

I read that the resorts have some activities for the children on Easter weekend and was wondering if any one knows if they have any activities on the 4th of July. We are definitely avoiding the parks on that day, so we thought it would be nice to hang out at the resort.

Most of the resorts don't do anything special for the 4th. Years ago, Poly used to have a cook out for their guests, but since they discontinued that, I don't think anybody does anything. Many guest go over to the parks, because the fireworks at all the parks are double what they usually are. They usually do a 360, and then do something patriotic set to music. At Epcot, their extra fireworks are so numerous that I could feel the concussions hit against my chest, and knock the air out of my lungs!
