Hi Gang -
For our up coming 10-day trip we have a number (OK, 4) of "off" days when we're not going to the parks. I'm wondering what sorts of activities they have going on at OKW, and at what times. I get the feeling that they have some organized activities - but since we've always been in the parks every day in the past - we never needed to use them. (This trip is more of a real vacation... ;) )

Many thanks!

For specifics, you'll need to get a copy of 'Hank's Happening' when you check in....in addition to those goodies, you can always do the pool(s) thing, rent water craft, play golf ... etc, etc..! :)

Do you happen to know what sorts of activities are in Hanks Happenings?

There are tons of organized (games, crafts)and unorganized(ping pong, bicycles, basketball) activities at Hank's. You don't mention kids or their ages but I assume it's keeping the kids occupied that you're interested in. If it's adults (or if you've sent the kids to Hanks) I highly recommend some candles, champagne and the jacuzzi.

Four boys: 10, 10, 6, and almost 5. Yes, we'd like to keep them busy on our off days.

As for the adult entertainment.... I'm all over that. :lmao:

My kids did tie-dye t-shirts one year. Looking at an old flyer that I have, here are some of the activities listed. Unbirthday Party, Tiny tot tea party, scavenger hunt, coloring contest, pooh picture plaque, paint-a-cell, tie-dye t-shirts, face painting, create your own Mickey Magnet, tissue flowers, goofy bingo. Always something going on down at Hanks!!:dance3:

My son went out on a 2 hour fishing excursion...

We did t-shirt painting... Rented movies.. face painting.. and bingo...

BTW, DVD "renting" is free for members staying on points.

Wow. I had no idea they kept things so busy there. We'll have no trouble keeping them occupied. Thanks!

Have they switched out the VCR's to DVD's then? Last time I looked at the website it still said VCR's.

I have three sons 10, 11, and 7. They would live at Hank's if I let them. They are on first name basis with the crew that works there.

They just love to go over and play the video games, pool, darts, and air hockey. Ed, Eddie, and (oops my boys are asleep and I can't remember the other names) are great to play with my kids. They join with them for air hockey or darts sometimes.

We try to get to OKW a couple of times a year -- the older the kids have gotten the more they like Hanks. They even choose to stick around for the activities rather than go to the parks.

Did anyone mention shuffleboard, basketball, and tennis.

We have stayed at OKW a couple of times without park tickets and never ran out of things to do.

Oh, and we also love to pool hop. When we don't have park tickets, that is the time we try out all the other pools.

Eddie is awesome! :thumbsup2

My son really liked hanging around with him on our last trip... Eddie would do Donald Duck impersonations to make the kids laugh... Exchange jokes with them, and even pushed the kids into the pool a few times.. (Much to their enjoyment.)
