Residence Inn or Springhill Suites

Does anyone ever get deals for these hotels? I keep looking but can't find any. In Orlando.

Go on the Marriott website and sign up for Marriott Rewards program. They are forever sending me emails w/ discounts. Both of those hotels are Marriott brands.

We have stayed at both RInn as well as SpSuites in U.S. We're members of Marriott Club and are always getting deals. I prefer RInn if we are going to stay more than one night
because the bedroom is separate from the living area. SpSuites the bed is separated by a half-wall. Both have great amenities.

I just booked a 2 b/r Res. Inn for $117. per night over a 4 day weekend in Oct., direct from the website, using the AAA discount. This is the nicest Res. Inn, on Palm. They also have a much better breakfast than SHS.

Other than the website, the best rates I've seen were through the mousesavers newsletter, but Marriott hasn't been listed there lately. (you could check and compare what they do have though, usually there's some sort of suites hotel listed).

Also, I've been able to book some great deals at the Hampton Inn using Advance Purchase rates (non-refundable). The one on Palm is only a regular hotel but the other one called South Lake Buena Vista has suites rooms. Haven't stayed at that location but have to mention: one BIG advantage to the HI over SHS is queen beds vs. double.

Also, the Fairfield at MV now has a bunkbed family suite room, so you could look at that too.

I was going to ask the same question...

I was researching both of these hotels for our 'after' Christmas vacation.

We've stayed at the RI near Sea World last year for 2 nights before checking into the Grand Vacations using my Mom's timeshare.
She isn't going with us this time so we can't use the timeshare -she's a sticker with giving us a week, hehehe!!

I'm getting prices between 127 at SH suites and 123 for RI Convention and international drive was 104.

Anyone have any advice? We normally stay on property at WDW but over Christmas it's like double the amounts listed above.
