Residence inn by Marriot

I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with this
hotel...It looks nice but I want to make sure before I book for my trip in August..

We stayed at all suite last year. It was convenient to DL, about a 15 minute walk and they had their own frequent free shuttle. Free breakfast and evening snack. The room we had was like a studio (all one room, no separate bedroom). I think all the rooms are like this. There is a kithen and eating section, living room section with hide-a-bed couch and a double bed section. The room was clean and comfortable. Would have been nicer if the bedroom was separate.

We Have reserved the Penthouse exception which does have 2 bedrooms seperate from the living area so I am hoping this will work for us...

I used to work for Marriott, and yes, they are very nice. Rooms come with a lot of amenities, plus most properties offer free breakfast and appetizers in the evening.

We stayed at the Residence Inn last summer for 5 days. The rooms are nice and clean, the large in-room refrigerator a huge plus for freezing water bottles, the grounds are well cared for, and the area is fairly quiet and not conjested.

Now for the downside. Our stay was marred with less than acceptable shuttle service. The early mornings and late evenings were the worst, as they typically ran only one shuttle van (~12 passenger sized), despite having 3 of them.

Also, even though some will quote a relatively short walk of 15-20 minutes to Disneyland's main entrance, it is a LONG 15-20 minutes, if that makes sense.

So, if their shuttle service has improved since last year, I would have no hesitation in recommending the Residence Inn. If you always plan on walking, then the shuttle service is not an issue for you.
